The owner here reminds me so much of my mother‘s cooking. My mom passed away February 16, 2021. I live in Tallahassee Florida for two years. I’m richly from Atlanta Georgia and also New York. I love coming here to Olean And I had the privilege to meet the most amazing lady that owns this store. Thank you so much for spreading your love with the food.

I am SUCH a foodie and let me tell you, Olean’s Café absolutely blew me away! ✨ Hands down the best food for the price in Tallahassee. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with love. And get this, we spent under $30 for TWO people! Like… OMGGGGG!

The line may be long, but trust me; it’s 1000% WORTH IT. The staff is so warm and welcoming, the vibe is chill and homey, and the food? Ughhh, chef’s kiss!

I seriously wish I could give them TEN STARS! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sausage gravy over grits is so underrated. You must try it! Yum They totally surprised me with their prices, portions, quality, AND flavor. Olean’s is now my go-to spot in Tally. Don’t walk , baby RUN!

This place is amazing. I woke up with a craving for comfort breakfast food like pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc., and I’m so lucky I found Olean’s because I didn’t actually know where to go. I just drove around until I found a place and I really lucked out. I got the Obama (which had pancakes, eggs, tons of bacon, sausage, cheesy grits and toast) and a slice of lemon cake. There was so much food I’m still eating the leftovers at 9pm and my stomach is very happy.

Finally got to visit the Fame Oleans restaurant. It does have limited hours which has made it challenging to visit before. But I was glad to visit this Tallahassee staple. I was treated with friendly service as soon as I walked in. The restaurant atmosphere is modest and unassuming.

Ofcourse the star of the show was the food. My food was received quickly. There is modest dine in seating but I opted to take out. The food is DELICIOUS. I also appreciated they gave an option between pork or beef gravy. This is what soul food is suppose to be!

I miss this place! I moved far away and it’s been years, but I remember every bite, every experience I had there and I still talk about it to whoever brings up soul food. I just love this place!!

Like most places, the prices seem to have increased. Expect $12/person for lunch. However the portions are large and the quality is good. This restaurant is a Tallahassee staple. Lunch is on point, especially collards and fried catfish. I used to like the breakfast; but these days the eggs are dry as is the breakfast sausage. The bacon is also not very good which should be hard to get wrong.
