High end steakhouse with exceptional service and quality food.

Have eaten here several times over the past few years. Always an outstanding meal. The service here is incredible with the servers are very attentive. Our server was James H. and he was excellent. The fillets are very tender, and cooked to perfection. Order the bernaise sauce – yummy! In addition, the crabcakes are very good. Excellent wine list with a large variety of varietals and regional selections. Plenty of sides available. Large offering of appetizers. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail and the onion rings!

The restaurant is high end and the prices reflect this (but well worth it). One piece of advice is to make a reservation. It can get crowded and you will want a reservation if you plan to eat there. Whether a special occasion, a Clemson home game or any other reason, I would definitely give this place a try.

More of a 3.75 score. My food was just okay. My dining partners food was better. I’d go into detail, but we probably won’t be back.

Delicious food. The scallops were one of the best I have ever had. The She Crab soup was so hearty, the BBQ shrimp was savory and the Salmon was yummy yum yum! I don’t usually finish a drink but my lychee martini was so delicious that I did! I would definitely recommend this place for special occasions

Wow. Absolutely amazing. First of all our server was so nice and attentive. She took us through the whole menu and explained everything. The garlic bread that was complimentary was AMAZING. Me and my mom both got the surf and turf and everything was cooked to perfection. It also came with mashed potatoes and they were delicious. We also got a side of Mac and Cheese and it was delicious. And lastly we got the brownie Sunday WOW just wow. I will definitely be returning!

There are restaurants you try, those you enjoy, and a few that become more. For my wife and me, Rick Erwin’s Clemson has been just that. We’ve dined there more than fifty times over our five years in Upstate South Carolina. Special events, meeting with friends, sometimes just evenings when we simply dropped into the bar because we didn’t feel like cooking but still wanted a cocktail and a great meal.

We found that in all Rick Erwin locations, our food will always be delicious — perfectly cooked steaks or seafood and delicious sides. I would describe the service as polished without being stiff. The food and service and reason enough to go there, but that’s not all: there’s something more.

The word I use to describe it is lagniappe — the Cajun term meaning “a little something extra. That’s how they treat their guests. It’s like the old TV show Cheers, where you feel like you’re among friends.

Their team still practices hospitality — the old-fashioned kind. The kind that makes you feel valued. As someone who writes and speaks often about first impressions, presentation, business operations and how people make others feel, I can tell you this: what they do there isn’t accidental. It’s culture from exceptional leadership.

Tomorrow evening will be our last visit for some time, as we prepare to relocate to Chattanooga. If this sounds like an advertisement, the truth is, if they asked me to do one, I would. That’s how much we respect and enjoy what they do. My hope is that in Chattanooga, we’ll find a restaurant home that comes close, but Rick Erwin’s Clemson has set the bar pretty high.

We went for our first time for my dad’s 85th bday. Thaddeus was our server, and he was amazing. The food is phenomenal. We had Calamari, Truffle Deviled Eggs, Shecrab soup. All !!! You will not be disappointed. We are already planning on going back.

We had an amazing meal last night at Rick Erwins! The food was excellent, the wines and cocktails were superb and the service was top notch! Expertly captained by Dixon, who accommodated 3 celiacs and 6 other diners for a two hour extravaganza of food from Apps to salads and terrific entrees. Make sure you try the potatoes Au Gratin; you won’t be disappointed. As a recent transplant from NYC, I can say that Rick Erwin’s would fit right in amongst the Manhattan steakhouses!

This place was incredible. We live in New York and the steak here was some of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant it is very high class and they have a large selection of wines. I ordered the surf and turf and it was just delicious. If I ever came back to this area again I would definitely eat here. It was a lovely romantic night with my partner.

It should be noted that this location of the restaurant is slightly cheaper than the other location. I believe the food is of the same quality in the service is excellent. We enjoy this location for food, drinks and general socialization. It’s a nice oasis in the Clemson area.
