Disch’s Tavern opened on October 25, 2015, but its actual story began in the spring of 1974. This story is not told to recognize the accomplishments behind Disch’s Tavern, but to serve as an inspiration that hard work and determination can pay off. Paul Disch’s father wanted Paul to become an attorney. After graduating from Boston College, Paul applied to fifteen law schools, and was rejected by all of them. Hoping to improve his potential for acceptance, he took courses to improve his LSAT scores and did graduate work at Babson College. We came here after we attended the King Richard’s Faire and we are glad we did! The staff were more than welcoming, very up beat and friendly. Our server Clarissa was super nice, attentive and provided us with stellar customer service. We sat in the bar area which was tastefully decorated for the season.
Now the food! My jambalaya was just okay, served with way too much rice and not enough
Ingredients such as sausage, shrimp and chicken. My table loved the pizza’s and the burgers/fries.
The bread service only comes with one small loaf( I mean small) of bread with whip butter. So if you like bread make sure you order 2 to 3 orders. The spinach dip, just another okay app. It was a small portion and way under seasoned.
Overall, I had a great time here! The food was okay, great customer service and I loved the rustic decor! I’m looking forward to going back and sitting at the bar for a drink.

Sorry, but I couldn’t wait to take a bite!! Even the customers next to me were amazing! I’ve known Michelle at the bar from growing up in the same town, she’s been a delight both times I’ve been here and made great drinks and always immediately responsive to requests 🙂
Had the bread and a side house salad with cilantro lime dressing along with a spicy margarita, all delicious! Tried the Pizza special; pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers and caramelized onions.. also fantastic!! I should have ordered a little well done, I always forget and I like it crispy. Don’t let that comment take away from the fact that it was cooked perfectly and the crust was fluffy!

Such a great spot for dinner. First time for us. Great service. Food was so good. Valet parking. All around great dinner spot. We will be back and will highly recommend.

It looks good -but that’s where it stops for me. I ordered the honey mustard chicken sandwich and it was mostly bread and boring. My table mate had a beautiful salad with yummy steak!

After being disappointed at The Sun Tavern this weekend, I brought my sister to Disch’s on Route 53 and I should have just gone there in the first place. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like family. The valet car service makes it easy and stress-free, and the warm greeting as you step through the door sets the tone for the whole experience.
The staff at Disch’s are exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making you feel welcome and appreciated. They seem to truly care about their guests, remembering faces and going out of their way to make sure every detail is right.
The food is consistently outstanding, prepared with care, and always arrives fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It is also fairly priced for the quality you receive, which makes every visit feel like great value.
While the noise level is a little higher than The Sun Tavern, it comes from the sound of happy conversations and people enjoying themselves. We went for a family gathering and had a fantastic experience! The food and service were both absolutely fabulous. Each of us ordered something different, and every dish was top-notch. My wife and I have dined at Disch’s many many times . Tonight we ordered pizza as usual. We have not been there in a couple of months but we both instantly noticed as we were served our pizza that it was not the pizza that we have had in the past .The crust was different, not the usual yeast raised Neapolitan crust. This crust now in our opinion was a frozen pre- made crust . NOT GOOD. The cheese was in our opinion not mozzarella but a blend of lesser quality cheese mixture as the cheese was somewhat burnt tasteless and greasy instead of melted. We liked that they finally added chicken wings to their menu.

Stopped in for dinner and went to the bar while waiting for a table. There was one seat open so we hung our coat on it. The group of guys offered us another seat so we thanked them and went to sit down. A bartender came from the other side of the bar and said those seats were reserved. He was rude and had no explanation except another couple need those seats.
What would you do, bar seats are first come first serve. We gave up the seats and left, never to return again.

I got the Haddock and my wife got the Chicken and Broccoli and Ziti. From the bread and butter to the main course, everything was excellent! The Onion Soup was amazing! Our server was Lisa and she was great as well. If you’ve never been, you must try them. Reasonable prices.
