Worth the trip if you’re in the area.
I ordered online a large pizza for a total of 4 people (2 adults, 2 kids) , we were planning on picking it up and bringing it back to the park that was a minute away. Plans changed after we realized that the tables at the park were surrounded by bees.
We went to go pick up the pizza and saw they had outdoor seating so we decided to eat here- we asked one of the waitress for paper plates, she stated they did not have any with a nasty tone and acted visibly bothered, as if it were an unreasonable request to be asking after we just spent $24 including tip buying a large pizza. so we asked for regular plates or even napkins were fine, we had two 4 year old hungry boys. She brought out a total of exactly 4 napkins… just enough for all 4 of us to eat off of. Good thing we had kids with us so we used our baby wipes to wipe off our hands and mouth with (:
On my way to the bathroom, I also overheard her tell the kitchen staff “they are asking us for plates” as if we didn’t just order food from them.
As a paying customer dining in, basic items like plates should be standard—not treated as an inconvenience. Good customer service means making guests feel welcome, not uncomfortable for asking for something that should already be provided. This experience was disappointing and not what we expect from a business serving food.
The pizza was actually solid. No complaints there — enjoyable and well done.
Where things fell short for us was in the details. The blue cheese dressing tasted like it came straight from a jar, which was surprising considering how simple it is to make in-house and how much it would elevate the experience. The chicken piccata was unfortunately one of the weaker versions I’ve had — and I’ve ordered that dish many times at many restaurants.
Service also felt a bit disorganized. We were served wings but didn’t receive napkins until we asked. When our salad came out, we had to ask for silverware. Throughout the meal, we found ourselves having to request basic items rather than them being anticipated.
Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it wasn’t a great one either. I’d call it about a C- experience. With a few improvements in attention to detail and service execution, this place could really live up to the potential that the space promises.
