First time at The Walking Taco! The elote is to die for! It is so fresh and jam packed of flavor. I also got the burrito with beef and it was pretty good as well! The rice that is inside the burrito is super delicious which really pulls through with flavor. I definitely will be stopping by when i’m in the area again. Definitely give this place a try!

Someone recommended this restaurant to me. On February 10th at 6:11 I arrived to place an order. When I approached the front line the Hispanic lady was sitting there looking at the cash register. I waited for about 3 minutes and finally said are you open? She said wait a minute. A few minutes later I finally said I’d like to place an order are you open or not and she said yeah what do you want. But we are limited on meat I said what does that mean and she rattled off very quickly in Spanish a list of meats that were on the $2 Taco menu in Spanish. I said could you repeat those and she got visibly angry at me and repeated them once again in Spanish. When I asked about some of the ingredients she very quickly spoke I could barely understand her in Spanish. Listen there are 100 Mexican restaurants in fort Wayne Indiana but you know what if you go to a French restaurant in fort Wayne you don’t expect them to treat you like crap and speak to you in French this is the absolutely worst experience I have ever had in my life with a restaurant in fort Wayne I would definitely recommend not coming here go to places like azteca where they actually are nice to you and speak to you when you arrive. Sidebar …I called back to speak with the restaurant owner just to discuss my experiences . Once again the same Hispanic lady that I spoke with when I arrived there and who other individuals are posting in this review about her hung up on me. If you look at many of the reviews, they talk about the same negative experience with this lady at the front cash register terrible customer service experience. It doesn’t matter how good the food is if you’re treated disrespectfully. If you do not want to speak Hispanic she will not speak with you.

The walking taco catered my wedding last week (300+ people) and absolutely knocked it out of the water!! The food was incredible! multiple people have reached out to me after the fact to ask where we got it! The service was phenomenal from the beginning and the owner and her family are the sweetest people. They were eager to answer our questions and work with us on figuring everything out. This is a newer restaurant so they haven’t done a large catering order like this before, but you wouldn’t have known it! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with them or for better food, you’re missing out if you haven’t tried this place!

I made eye contact with the guy at the counter and I think he knew. He knew what I was experiencing. He just nodded like Yeah we see this all the time.
I can’t go back to regular food. I won’t. Walking Taco has ruined me for anything else. If you’re on the fence stop what you’re doing and go. Just go. You might not come back the same.

I don’t know what happened to this place. Post December 2025, but every time I’ve decided to order here since it closed over the holidays, it’s been consistently bad. The rice is now just mush and recipes/seasoning have obviously changed for the worse. Also turn the music down just a little, I shouldn’t have to repeat myself 4 times or raise my voice for the cashier to hear my order.

I have tried to get food here several times and they have only been open once during their posted business hours. And I don’t mean when they were under renovations but during normal running hours of operation they have been closed 5 of the 6 times I have tried to eat here. And don’t even bother trying to call it is no use.

I don’t even know where to start .. 1st…. Louis is amazing and so knowledgeable and was so helpful in our first experience we got a walking taco with everything one Doritos one Fritos to go old school but honestly we both prefer the Doritos but both were great they have a huge selection of chips and so many side options and as many as you want no limit s or extra cost it’was $38 for two walking tacos Elite large side of rice and A MODELO…we will definitely be coming back..thank you Louis once again you were way beyond more then a employee and thank you for making us feel comfortable and not rushed and talking us through all the menu items . This place doesn’t realize how special of a employee they have and I hope you know this and they see it too. One again thank you and see you soon!!

Nasty!! Chorizo was burnt! Order queso but it doesn’t come chips, how am I suppose to eat it? Cilantro was yellow. Green salsa was just green jello like liquid, like everything settled at the bottom & they dipped off the top..
