Late post from lunch a week ago while we were visiting for Fall Break…we had every intention of going to Pho Bac for lunch before heading home but after watching an episode of Chef’s Table: Noodles we had a taste for pasta…quick search and we found this gem of a place in Johns Creek…service was great, owner is Italian and makes all the pastas from scratch…dishes are traditional and taste amazing! Super quaint, everyone’s meals were delicious! Will definitely be back!

We’ve wanted to try this place for a long time so I picked this restaurant to have dinner with our friend there. Maybe after reading so many great reviews about this place our expectations were too high, but we had a terrible experience. I bet that everyone who gave 5* to this restaurant never ever have tried good, authentic Italian food.
Our waiter didn’t know anything about any dish and when we asked a few things about the menu he was just looking everywhere like the answer was written on the walls. The polip we wanted to order wasn’t available. Then we went for the mussels—first he said that wasn’t available either (he said it’s too expensive nowadays…??) but then came back saying it was… BTW I don’t know why can’t they just print out fresh menus from time to time including dishes they actually have.
We were still eating our appetizers when the waiters already brought the main courses. How can someone be so inattentive? We were basically the only guests at that time, can’t they just take a look and see that we aren’t ready for the next course yet and wait a bit? My husband and our friend ordered two different dishes but they were basically the same: the same meat, same pasta (our friend said it tasted like something taken out of a box, not freshly made), only the sauce was different. My carbonara was ok, hence the 2*.
Oh and then the dessert. There was a bombo something on the menu and I asked what that was and the guy had no idea at first but then he said it was ice cream. I didn’t want ice cream so ordered limone tartufo which was a joke (only I wasn’t laughing). It was a simple, low quality lemon ice cream. I also don’t understand why they don’t have a short explanation of the desserts on the menu when clearly the waiter doesn’t know much either.
All in all it was an awful experience and a waste of money, and I feel terrible for suggesting this place for dinner with our friend.

Amazing food, cozy place, quick service and owner is the best!
We went here for my husband’s birthday lunch & loved everything about this place. Indian celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor was dining next to our table !
I must say, owner is very nice and was so attentive to each table.

Best food I have had in a long time. It was my birthday and I don’t regret the whole experience. Seafood pasta Tagliolini , lamb chops, appetizer Frittura Mista and Chocolate covered Italian icecream for dessert. Kimberly our server was amazing, choose a table in her section. The owner Mike was very attentive. Love love love this place.

I recently dined here and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that created a cozy yet upscale vibe.

The service was impeccable—our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly without being intrusive.

The star of the evening was the food. We started with Burrata. For the main course, I had the Spaghetti all’Assassina and Petto di Pollo alla Petronella. Wasn’t it for the Chef who conjured up the tomato sauce the choices for us would have been very limited. But he obliged and that gets counted as an extra star for hospitality.

The chef personally indulges in conversation with you and can give you an input of his style of cooking and the ingredients incase you are interested to what goes on your palate.

While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of food, service, and overall experience makes it an interesting experience. They make their own pasta & sauces, which might be the reason for the high prices.

On the Desserts, we wanted to indulge in Tiramisu which they didn’t seem to have and since most of the reviews seem to suggest but we settled on Sfogliatelle which comes from oven. Given a choice, I will give it a pass.

Delicious food and great quality and quantity. My only complaint is a little pricy. We got fried shrimp appetizer $16 with lemon butter sauce, a kids ravioli $11, parpadelle with bolognese and meat balls side and a chicken parm with spaghetti. I think our bill came to $98. Homemade pastas and family owned –

Where are we eating today?
Rosa mia, Rosa mia to start the super friendly waitress. She explained to us which were the most requested pastas and her favorites. We ordered a carpaccio, it was scrumptious, she loved her. I ordered a chicken fettuccini pasta, with pomodoro sauce and breadcrumbs. I loved this pasta. I loved the super fresh flavors. but I will talk about the carbonara, it did not taste like carbonara, I think they went too far from black pepper, the pasta tasted too much like black pepper. I think they have to fix that. but everything else super delicious

Wifey and I visited RosaMia last night for a great Italian dinner and romantic evening out. Michelino and the team at RosaMia did an outstanding job of providing an excellent dining experience paired with a nice bottle of wine and capped off the evening with awesome housemade Limoncello. We will definitely be back for more.

In the photos, I had the lasagne that was a cheesy, tasty delight. Wifey had veal piccata and we split the RosaMia house salad that was also excellent. We paired it with the Banfi Centine Toscana red. Michelino stopped by to photo bomb the piccata shot!

+++UPDATE+++
Wifey and I stopped by for an early dinner. She had the Carbonara which was really tasty! I had the Pappardelle con Polpette which is a wide pasta but long like spaghetti. It was bolognese style with 3 large meatballs. What a great meal and leftovers will be awesome.

We also had some of the Tombacco Azzurra Rossi Puglia, a robust and fairly priced red wine.

I have been going to Rosa Mia for years. I truly miss seeing Rosa but it’s so wonderful that her original chef was able to purchase Rosa Mia when she retired. The food was EXCELLENT and after visiting Italy this summer, it was truly a gift to see the authentic Italian atmosphere shift in the menu. They still make old favorites upon request, too! Great place to eat!
