Lavash Grille – Cambridge, MA
Total Score: 9/10

Lavash Grille in Cambridge delivers a Turkish and Mediterranean dining experience that feels both vibrant and deeply comforting. This is the kind of place that works beautifully for group outings, thanks to the big, long tables that make it easy to settle in, share plates, and actually enjoy the social side of dining.

The sampler platters and mixed grill dishes are absolutely the way to go. Portions are generous, the variety is excellent, and everything we tried tasted fresh and well balanced. The hummus and baba ganoush were both standouts, packed with flavor and a great start to the meal.

One of the biggest highlights was the manti. These delicate, bite sized dumplings with yogurt sauce were pure comfort food and easily one of the most memorable dishes of the night. The haydari (similar to Tzatziki) was another favorite. Rich, creamy, and incredibly flavorful, it’s the kind of dip you keep reaching for long after you’re full.

For something a little different, the traditional Turkish coffee made with hot sand is such a fun experience and well worth ordering. Ending the meal with coffee and rice pudding felt like the perfect, cozy finish.

On a practical note, I was genuinely happy there is some parking here, which is always a welcome bonus in Cambridge.

Overall, Lavash Grille is a place I’d gladly return to. Great food, perfect for group settings, and an all around enjoyable dining experience.

One of the best foods I’ve ever had in a long time.
The complimentary bread is so fluffy and is very tasty with their home made hummus.
I can’t even pronounce or spell most of the things we bought but it was all worth it.
For 2 people, the warm sampler was good.
We also tried 2 entrees. One with beef and another with lamb. Both were filling and HUGE. Everything was flavorful and delicious.
The staff was very responsive and helped us understand the menu.
I’m gonna be back here soon, just for their bread.

Everytime I come to Lavash, I truly feel at home and just at peace because I know I am about to eat incredible, get great service and just have the best time.

I truly crave Lavash’s food it is always fresh, and has incredible flavor. You must get the Haydari, the Cacik, the Humus, the Antep Ezme. Everything here is the perfect blend to start your meal.

& then some of my other favorite entrees on and off the menu have to be the Beyti special. You can taste the grilled meat and the delicious flavors of all the components of the dish. A true 10/10. TRY THIS. The yogurtlu kebab is filled with flavor as well. Another 10/10.

I must continue to try more and more.

Some special take aways I will have to note is that Lavash gets the details right. They have the little sugar cubes you get with a Turkish tea… they have fresh and hot pitas and also huge tables to fit all the dishes so it doesn’t feel that crowded.

Special shout out to Mesut, he is the owner and runs a great business. I always recommend this business to everyone who is looking to get good food/ service.

Had an amazing experience visiting Lavash! The owner is from Turkey and has brought the best dishes back. We couldn’t decide what to order so we tried 3 sampler platters so we could taste it all! Even though I have my favorites (the Kibbeh) I would still come back and get the platter since it’s the best of all entrees! Will be coming back again and again

First off, its not like it appears on the reviews!! The food or the place, and the server(s) were like robots.
Positives, SOME of the things we ordered were good. FAlafal, but one was burnt black, which came with the hot appetizer plate (warm meze) the Manti(raviololi) was hard, undercooked. Feta pastry rolls (sigare borek) were rubbery and floppy and cold.
Then we ordered entree for 2 of us KARISIK IZGARA “ MIXED GRILL, which I saw pictures of on Google reviews and let me tell you, talk about false advertising! Well don’t even pay attention to the photos of that giant wooden board with all the meat for $48, what we got was a sad plate with a sad tortilla and a few pieces of meat! See my pics posted of the REAL dish! One sad tiny lamb chop, 3 cubes of flavorless grilled chicken and the adana was one piece of each, chicken and the other lamb/beef.
Then 2 pieces of each of the other grilled meat and ONE turkish meatball (kofte). Do not be fooled with the tempting video and pictures online! I am showing you the real thing you get! Then we asked the server about the photos and her response was that those pics are just to show what they have! BS. That was the biggest disappointment. The rice isn’t even Turkish, its your very plain parboiled lame white rice! We came here to eat Turkish food.
Another thing was little bugs flying around the food and wall!
The place had a depressing vibe, those servers were part of it. Tried having a human interraction with them and they wouldnt crack.
Place isnt nice as appears on other Google review photo because they only show you the nicer half!
Also why are there faded Christmas wreaths on the walls for decor?
Honestly the more I think about it, I would have to be really hungry for Turkish food to go back. Definitely NOTHING that I expected. My spouse got take out there once and warned me about the food. But it was only one thing so I wanted to give it a chance. This is his culture so I should have listened, haha!
They don’t have any gyro (Doner)either, so….anyways, if you want good tasting Turkish food go to Gyro Kebab House in Norwood! 5 OUTTA 5! If ya know ya know! 😉

Beware of the fake reviews—this restaurant is an absolute disappointment! I can’t believe how terrible our experience was at this so-called Turkish establishment. From the moment we walked in, everything felt off: an unwelcoming atmosphere, service with zero warmth, and food that was shockingly overpriced for its miserable quality.
With a name like “Lavash,” I expected the comforting aroma of freshly baked bread, like the real Mediterranean spots offer. Instead? They brought out cold, store-bought sliced bread—yes, sliced bread—and a pre-cooked Adana kebab that tasted as uninspired as it looked. And the rice… bland beyond belief, completely forgettable.
We came in excited for a delicious lunch after seeing all the glowing reviews, only to leave wondering how those reviews even exist. What a truly horrible, disappointing experience. If you’re looking for genuine flavor or hospitality, trust me—look elsewhere!

One of the authentic places in the area. I love that they have platter options so that you can try everything. The meat cooked very delicate and tender, and the Kunefe is must try. I highly recommend and will come back soon.

I placed a tray of premade Borek order. Although it was going to be ready in a few minutes including payment process, I was given a free Turkish Black Tea as courtesy. The restaurant looked clean and very calm. There were only a few customers during my visit. Staff was nice and welcoming. They have a parking lot but their main entrance on New St. It may be confusing if entered from parking lot since they share the hallway with other businesses and bathrooms.

I took my order home and microwaved it for a couple of minutes and it felt very fresh and handmade.
