The food felt the same back at home. Kerala porotta and chickenrost was very nice. The breakfast menu was very cheap but tastes really good. Worth every cent ! Calm place with good service too.

Great Spot for Affordable Breakfast, but Weekend Crowds Need Attention
Our group of five visited this place over the weekend. It was super crowded, likely because of their very affordable breakfast menu. Despite the rush, the service was impressively fast, which we truly appreciated.
However, managing such large weekend crowds could be improved—perhaps by having an extra waiter or two to ensure things run even more smoothly. It would make the experience even better for everyone.
One thing that really stood out was the owner’s openness to feedback. We shared a few suggestions, and to our surprise, they were actually implemented! It’s rare to see such responsiveness, and I truly appreciate the positive attitude.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and we’re definitely looking forward to going back again!

We’ve ordered Chicken and Mutton biriyani from there and both were very worse.They used the same rice for both,only the meat was different and mutton wasn’t tender at all.

One of the authentic South Indian restaurant in Berlin. We had veg thali and fish thali, both were really good and filling. I had to loosen up my belt. Food was not oily and gave me the homemade touch. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Waitress Tania was very friendly and welcomed us whole heartedly

Suggestion: Pls try to add some Andhra cuisines like Hyderabadi dum Biryani,Guntur karam idli and add more varieties in Dosas in menu or custom based Dosas based on Customers mentioned in menu. I feel it has got a good potential.

I was really craving a proper South Indian breakfast in Berlin, and I’m so glad I found Chettinad Restaurant in Spandau!
The moment I walked in, the aroma of freshly made dosa and filter coffee took me straight back home. I ordered their Masala Dosa, the Breakfast Combo (Idli–Vada–Sambar), and of course, the classic Filter Coffee — everything was just perfect.
The dosa was crisp and flavorful, the sambar had that authentic South Indian taste, and the coffee… rich, strong, and aromatic — just the way it should be! ☕️
What I really loved was not just the food, but also the warm hospitality and reasonable prices. The service is excellent, the staffs are very friendly. Taniya and Sam are super nice and their helpful. It’s rare to find such authentic flavors in Berlin, and Chettinad Restaurant absolutely delivers.

Last Sunday, I had my breakfast with some of my friends in this restaurant and wow!! what a delicious delicacies…….the dosa , the parotha and idli, everything was just perfect. Even the staff was also very polite and humble. Really a very good place if you want to try South Indian food in berlin.
