I heard from several people how amazing the food from here was. Finally one day I was around this area for lunch when my wife said she was hungry. Knew of the perfect place to go and boy did it not disappoint! Staff there was top notch, super friendly, polite, came back just enough but not too much bothering you. We decided to share everything. Cup of chicken corn chowder soup (wished we got a larger size), a chicken Caesar Salad and a Burger and fries.
All of which are now are top of my list for favorites. We were only mad we didn’t save room for desert. This place is now hands down our date night location. I strong urge you to try it if you haven’t been here yet.

This place delivered! I called several restaurants in Spartanburg and either they were closed on Sunday or couldn’t take our reservation for my family group of 28, but Dray Bar and Grill were able to accommodate and I was incredibly impressed! They seated us all together in their private room, which was perfect for the occasion. The food was delicious and visually stunning! Great portion sizes as well for the cost. The service was absolutely fantastic as well, shout out to Mason for a job well done! We’re from Greenville but if we’re ever out that way, we will definitely visit again and ask for Mason! As a foodie and someone who’s worked in the food industry for over 10 years, it was cool knowing that it’s a family business: chef, pastry chef, etc. Finally, it’s located at Drayton Mills which creates such a beautiful atmosphere and experience. Pictured is the Club and Maple Bourbon Crème Brûlée which were delicious! Several in our group got burgers and scrimp and grits which they said are delicious as well

We were hosted by Bob, the owner and his staff. They were great! We had a large group and the staff worked efficiently to take care of us. There were so many compliments about the variety of well made cocktails from the group. Wings as an appetizer were also a big hit! Oh, and there was live entertainment! You should make this the next place you come to eat.

We had a conference with folks from all over the world. Our events team picked The Dray for our dinner one night. The food, staff and atmosphere couldn’t have been better. Loved that the owner (Exec Chef) brought his son (Head Chef) out to the private dining room. You could tell how proud he was that his wife made the desserts and his other son was GM.

Highly recommend! Recently, my mom treated me to Dray Bar for my birthday. This is not my first time here. Dray Bar happens to be one of my favorite restaurants. I have tried everything on the menu at least once. Nothing disappoints. Those gravy fries are to die for. And that mushroom risotto is perfect every time. This visit was no exception. Regardless of when I go, the staff are always very friendly and accommodating as they were on this visit. Our server asked if we were celebrating anything and my mom told her it was my birthday. The server then offered a free dessert. We had wanted their sinfully decadent lave cakes. The lava cakes only come as a trio, rather than turn us down, the kitchen and the server very generously accommodated our request.

On arrival, the place seemed particularly well done, especially in the opening area. The catering setup for appetizers, however, seemed a bit limited for the number of guests present. That said, the food that was available tasted very good. There was a wide variety of options—whether you liked seafood, charcuterie, fruits, or vegetables, there was something for everyone.

The main issue of the evening was with the sound system. The barn doors separating the ballroom from the area we were in were kept closed for approximately three hours. This created a problem because we were only supposed to spend about an hour and a half in that area, but we ended up staying twice as long. As a result, dinner, which was scheduled for around 5:30 p.m., wasn’t served until about 7:30 p.m.

To me, this was the biggest issue of the night. The servers and waitstaff, however, were exceptional—hospitable, attentive, and quick to accommodate any requests. Once we entered the ballroom, the experience improved dramatically. We could finally hear the music and enjoy the wedding as it was meant to be enjoyed from the start.

If I could modify any part of the evening, I would adjust the food schedule to ensure dinner was served on time, keep the ballroom doors open so that the music could be heard throughout the night, and have a few more servers available to better accommodate the number of guests in attendance.

Went to Dray Bar today, for a Valentines day lunch. I’ve always had a great experience at Dray Bar & Grill until today.

We arrived at 12:30pm and upon being seated and attended to by our waitress i inquired about their bottomless mimosas, and was immediately told since it was Saturday those were not available. A group of 4 was seated nearby and inquired about the same bottomless mimosa and we’re promptly served.

Now im sitting here thinking why would my waitress tell me one thing and these ladies got served exactly what I was denied.

I asked the waitress why, obviously I was offended and discriminated against. I let my waitress know own of my displeasure albeit I never raised my voice or caused a scene.

What rubbed me extremely the wrong way was the “replacement” waiter (due to now my initial waitress bring upset about the issue) trying to tell me that the “ladies” at the table had an arrangement with the bartender…iies, pure lies. So the establishment now has, in my eyes established “exceptions”…was it the color of my skin?

All this to say that the “correct” thing for them to do was to bring me the bottomless mimosas that has caused this patrons upset.

The owner came to my table to explain my waitress was unaware the drink I was qanting was offered on Saturday. I call bull….this “owner” could have brought my champagne and juice of choice to make amends when coming to my table instead of asking me what could he do.

All this to question, was it a training issue, a mismanagement issue or an “indirect” discrimination issue…because that’s how I felt and no matter what they all said the damage was done.

I’m afraid I would never be able to return here and enjoy their delicious au poivre fries because of this incident. Could it have been handled differently…absolutely, but it wasn’t, and now here we are.

I surely hope they do better if/when we decide to return…

I absolutely love the burgers here. I usually add egg, avocado, and whatever cheese I’m in the mood for. The beef is pure Angus and sooo juicy. Service has always been great and a nice calm atmosphere. Definitely try it when you’re in the area.

We were there on a Saturday evening, there was some nice live music with a good volume of not being too loud. Not very busy, our service was a little lacking only half of our party was asked about beverages and we felt like a little bit of an inconvenience to the server the times when they did stop by. Food was tasty, I know everything is expensive now so the price was probably just what the restaurant had to charge for it. We went with children and felt pretty comfortable with them there.
