Social Profile:

Let’s look back to the beginning of the original location in 2002. Ric and his business partner were sitting on two railroad ties looking at the building that was to become the first Red Door Saloon. Ric is of Irish descent, and there was a period in history when Ireland was fighting with England. People would paint their door red as a way to say you are welcome, and this is a safe place. That brought the first half of the name to life. Ric added saloon to reflect out west in 1816.

Down-home bar offering drinks, hot dogs, steamed sandwiches & more with optional outdoor seating.

The Red Door Saloon East is definitely a go to spot and a true local favorite. Our dear friend Mike, who moved here from Tucson, invited us to check it out and I am so glad he did. It has such a fun and lively atmosphere, perfect for grabbing drinks with friends, watching sports, or starting off the night before heading out. The decor really stands out with its stylish yet comfortable vibe, creating a space that feels both modern and welcoming. Whether you are coming for a casual hangout or to pregame, this place has the right energy to set the tone. The crowd is friendly, the service is attentive, and there is always something going on to keep you entertained. It is one of those spots that makes you want to come back again and again because you know you will have a good time.

Had a few Hazy IPAs tonight while waiting for a reservation at a nearby restaurant. Rachel served me and I met Scott and Scott. Very friendly bar. They allow smoking outside but not inside. Enjoyed chatting on my very first visit to this establishment. The vibe reminded me of overseas bars back in the day during my military service.

So Google just promoted me to review this spot and I can’t believe after so many years of walking in their door that I haven’t reviewed the Door.

The bartenders are great. I love the patio when the weather is good. There’s something about the openness that is nice. You can lean on the railing and you’re not surrounded by condos and new stuff. Don’t see that changing as the library and the school won’t be going anywhere any time soon.

If I still lived in Nashville I’d still be going.

A very unique little spot amid all the hustle of nashville. Inside definitely is different but suits the style they have. Friendly staff

We stopped here because our friend Jake Dean used to bartend here back in the day and it was close to our hotel. We walked in and felt right at home since we’re from Chicago. The vibe and music and food were awesome. I loved ❤️ the decor!

I was in Nashville for the Texans vs Titans game. Spent a few days on Broadway and got tired of it and needed to see something else. This was the perfect spot. Great beers, fast service and tv’s to watch the game. Find a bartender that use to live in Cypress, California and he is the best!!! I appreciate the gift

Really good drinks and excellent food! Wife and I split a cubana Panini sandwich with hot pickle sides and pickled chips and potato salad. Very tasty! ordered vodka tonic drinks and Midori iced teas. Very very good but it’s a good thing I was walking home LOL.

The Red Door Saloon in Nashville is a quintessential dive bar with an unmistakable Southern charm. As soon as you walk in, the eclectic decor — a blend of vintage signs, antiques, and kitschy artwork — offers an instant sense of comfort and nostalgia. The ambiance is laid-back and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to escape the bustle of the city. The drink menu is as no-frills as the venue itself, but they execute the classics. Whether you opt for a cold beer or a strong whiskey, you’ll find that the prices are more than reasonable.

But what sets this place apart is its communal atmosphere. From the bartenders to the patrons, everyone seems like they’re in the mood to unwind and have a good time. You’re as likely to strike up a conversation with a local as you are with a fellow tourist. In a city renowned for its music and nightlife, the Red Door Saloon manages to stand out as an authentic, down-to-earth watering hole. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to, not just for the drinks, but for the sense of community and old-school, unhurried enjoyment.

What an eclectic bar. Great place to watch your favorite sporting event, have some grub and grab a drink! The bartender is FABULOUS! My wife and I found this little joint in a very cool part of Nashville, we were very lucky! We watched the Vikings game, they were kind enough to put it on for us even though the Titans were also playing at the same time, THANK YOU! Free parking on the street, and all kinds of cool places within a stones throw of The Red Door.
