My wife and I are always excited to try new places. All around this place is great, but you never get a second chance on a first impression. I had a veal chop, and I asked for it to be cooked well done. It’s came out still mooing. It’s such a disruption when your food comes out wrong because everyone else is eating at the table and you’re still waiting for them to correct your meal. Now everyone’s waiting for you to finish your meal because you got your 10 minutes after everybody else. Other than that, the company that I had with me said they love their meals. Better luck next time new mill restaurant.

Everything about New Mill was great. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. The restaurant was beautiful and gave great vibes. The food was DELICIOUS.
We ordered the bacon wrapped scallops which just melt in your mouth. Incredible. My husband ordered the maple glazed pork chop. Im not usually a fan of pork because its never tender enough, but this one was super tender and delicious. I ordered the crab stuffed cod and it was fantastic. For dessert we got the chocolate mousse and we highly recommend it. Yum!
And for the price you get the perfect amount of food.

It’s rare to find such a well-oiled machine like New Mill. For a packed Saturday night, New Mill had it together! We went to celebrate my grandfather’s birthday and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our server, Caitlin, was super attentive and even gave my mom a great suggestion of cooking her filet mignon medium rare plus, which we had never heard of before, but it came out exactly the way my mom wanted! Every dish was delicious, and we really enjoyed the vibe of the restaurant too. It’s clear to see why you have to make reservations well in advance for weekend dinners here! We will absolutely be back!

We are traveling and The New Mill came up on a search. So glad we went … Sat outside for a bit in the tranquil area by the water. Service was excellent – multiple people assisted us in seamless service. After moving inside, the decor and old building renovated really puts you in the atmosphere of an old tavern. Our food was excellent! Recommend going!

The New Mill Restaurant left me with mixed feelings after multiple visits. On my first visit, during a weekday, I had a pleasurable experience with decent food and a good server. We enjoyed the calamari, filet, and granny smith apple salad.
However, my subsequent visits on Friday and the weekend were not as enjoyable. The atmosphere was politically charged at full intoxicated volume. The lack of social graces and smugness made for an uncomfortable dining experience, despite the well-to-do crowd. There’s a reason that controversial topics of conversation are best left out of casual social settings.
Although the food was alright, it was not worth the price tag, especially when the atmosphere was unpleasant. Dining in peace is crucial, especially when spending that kind of money. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the New Mill Restaurant unless you’re willing to tolerate a politically charged atmosphere and a little bit of contempt from certain wait staff and management.

We went here for a family dinner and really liked it. The food was good and the service was great. The staff were very attentive. It was a little loud as they were very busy but not too bad. We had a reservation and were seated further away from the bar, which helped. The food portion was generous, and everyone was pleased with their order.

Very good food,and service. Very pretty restaurant but a little drafty when seated near the windows.the dijon chicken dish was really delicious,chicken parm was good but the sauce a little bland. Our waitress,Lindsey was right on the mark. Can’t complain about the excellent service.we will be back maybe in the spring when it warms up.
