I know there are lots of Marios in Palm Desert, but this is my favorite. They have great lunch specials. Their marinara sauce has a great flavor, and I love the Italian sausage. The restaurant is clean and service was excellent. They have both tables and booths.

First visit into this chain restaurant. We went in before a concert at the arena down the street! Food was tasty and super hot. Service was very helpful. Food came out quickly so we made it to the concert on time. We will return as there were other bites we wanted to try. Great prices for Italian food. Thank you.

We had lunch special (sausage parmigiana and spaghetti meat sauce) each, then took home a large pizza. Generous amount for the price (less than $10 for lunch) and food is okay! I liked the atmosphere. The staff are very nice, and the restaurant is super clean. Large pizza (Mario’s special) is only $24.

Had to try the local pizza shop, delicious pizza that we devoured!!! Definitely have to come back and try some of the tempting entrees we saw come out of the kitchen. Our pizza had pepperoni and sausage on it. We got the large 12 cut and ate all but 2 slices.

I ordered the fettuccine carbonara, and it was one of the better ones i’ve ever had. It was missing a little something.But overall, very good, I’d rate food 4.5/5. The service was absolutely amazing.I would rate service 5/5. And the atmosphere itselfThe restaurant is a smaller place, but it’s very cozy And has nice relaxing music. I’d rate atmosphere 5/5. Overall, I’ll tell you my experience was great.

This is not your high-end Italian eatery. It’s a small shop that does many things well and for a reasonable price. Start with the $5 glass of wine – a very generous pour of some reasonable table wine. They do all the standard dishes, giving out generous portions for $15-20. The lasagna, in particular, is very good. A large portion is almost more than you can eat. Very friendly staff. This place gives you very good value for the money.

I had the anti-pasta salad which was loaded with the anti-pasta stuff. There are Italian dressing tops off and it’s very zesty.
I had spaghetti with Italian sausage. They offer two sizes large and small. I went for the large figure and I could take at least half of it home. The noodles were cooked to just about perfection the Italian sausage was a little over cooked but still very good. The one thing I would be critical of is their marinara sauce. It’s very flat and may be a little watery. It could really use some spicy with garlic, Italian seasonings and etc. When I’m in the area again I would definitely revisit this place

Mario’s at Varner and Washington now has a fantastic Happy Hour from 3-5 every day. With , $4,$5 or $6 options there is something for all!! The full menu ,of course is also available but the happy hour menu is awesome for those with a lighter appetite & who are out to enjoy the daily company of their friend’s, with a drink and a bite to eat:)
People in our group had pizza slices, Caesar salad, house salad, zucchini sticks – NO complaints – everything was , hot, delicious & the staff was super fun!!
