Reviews
After placing my order, I realized I’d forgotten to ask for a special accommodation. When I went back, they let me know it had been discontinued about a year ago, which I completely understood. But the chefs in this kitchen overheard the request, jumped in, and made something close enough that turned out absolutely delicious. Every burrito was clearly made with extra care and love.
The food here is always top quality, seriously, try the shrimp tacos. I’ve been driving from Fremont to Metro Taquero’s many locations for some time now, but the staff at this location truly stands out.
The food is pretty good but often it’s pretty salty but today it was way too salty… I ended up not eating the burrito… It didn’t feel healthy.
Hoping the owner reads this as I frequent this place occasionally but likely will not anymore unless the owner responds to this review and makes changes.
Other than that, the place is clean, modern looking, and the staff is friendly! So hoping they do some additional QA on their food tastes and quality.
Customer service is peak —
The workers here are kind and inviting. They make recommendations when I am unsure of what to order and are generous with the sauces, condiments. Special shout out to Carlos.
In terms of food quality, everything is —
I am a lover of menudo and this place makes an amazing version of it. I did take it to go, went home, and added some ramen noodles (no seasoning) to it and it was a lifesaving hangover meal. The broth was hearty, perfectly flavored (not too salty or bland), and had a lot of tripe.
The beer battered fish tacos are the best. Honestly, give you large portions and I can bet that it would fit anyone’s macros. The tortillas used for the tacos were fresh, didn’t break apart when I picked it up (unlike some of the local restaurants around here), and flavors were balanced with the sauces provided and the white sauce.
Best item on menu ^
I’ve also tried their shrimp and asada burrito (did not skimp out on meat, which is a plus), chorizo nachos, and their haystack.
Overall, I love this place and definitely is my fix for tacos, burritos, and everything in between and on the side.
