Went on Friday evening. If you want homemade, Bucket of Love is the place to go. Husband got chicken fried steak which is now his favorite in Lubbock. I got chicken and waffles. They serve the salad and sides family style. Started w salad and biscuits. Biscuits were for sure from scratch. Entrees came the soon the mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn and green beans. My least favorite was green beans as they had a tad too much salt but loved the other sides. As others mentioned the portions are large. I took two chicken tenders and two waffles home. I’m glad this restaurant has “love” in their name because the food is made with love! We will be coming back. (Note, they are closed Sundays and Mondays)

The food wasn’t BAD per se. Everything needed salt though. And this was unbelievably the most watery gravy ive ever had. The strips are OK. The crust is really thin. Mac was meh. Mashed potatoes and gravy were just on also. The biscut was really good. I don’t see myself coming back to be honest. Seems over hyped.

I was skeptical being mid afternoon. We were greeted with a smile and seated, the salad and biscuits were good. I had the waffle and wings.Wings were hot but had a fishy taste and smell. The sides were warm but the gravy was hot for a minute before the ice cold bowls cooled it down.

We had a great time. Place is nice but simple. The guy at the front is very friendly. We ordered lemon pepper wings, hot honey wings, and Catfish and fried chicken combo! Was very delicious. The green beans were a little heavy on the seasoning and I was super sad they didn’t have collard greens . The Mac n cheese tasted like a little to much chicken bullion powder but it was still good. Catfish breading was great, crispy, flavourful well fried. Chicken was really good too, not the best but I think really good and piping hot fresh!! Biscuit was super good, mashed potatoes too and they give you gravy ! Even got a complimentary beer on the house! I would go back and i definitely recommend!!

First time here and I really liked it. The service was great, had to wait 10-15min but it’s so worth it because they cook it in the moment so everything is so fresh. I ordered the 4 piece meal and it was just as home made, not like the regular fast food chickens that are extremely seasoned and make your stomach upset. Now I know where to go if I want fried chicken. Next time I will try their wings ☺️
