Haven’t eaten here in several years, but it is shocking how much Bonchon has declined in quality. The strips changed from delicious, thin and crispy, to super dry. You can barely taste the sauce because the chicken is so thick and dry. Consistent with the dry theme, the pork belly buns had the driest pork belly I have ever had. For how INSANELY (Bonchon is notoriously overpriced) expensive this place is, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of food I received. I will not be back. They are price gauging their customers.

This restaurant gives less food than other locations for the same price. I’ve eaten here consistently as well as other locations in the area, including in Manassas and Fairfax. I know for a fact they are intentionally serving less food to cut corners and save money compared to other locations. For example, shrimp shumai. I eat this dish so much that I know it comes with eight pieces. NOPE. To trim their bottom line, they serve me six pieces. I know it was not an accident because they did it on two separate orders. The bao buns are treated so differently here versus other locations that you wonder how there could be such a huge discrepancy for something so simple. Greed. It’s frustrating because I love this chain and this location is closest to me. But I’ll never go there again. I don’t appreciate intentionally deceiving customers to save a few cents. Please don’t go here.

this is the second time that I received overcooked and what appeared to be old chicken. There were fresh pieces on top.
The first time I called the restaurant and they told me I could return and exchange. Unfortunately I had children that were very hungry that had to settle for old chicken as I was too far away.
They said that I could return it to next week. I had hungry people to feed.
The second time I did not even bother calling because I knew that their customer service was not up to par. At least not what I would expect.
In the future when I buy chicken from them, I will taste the chicken before I leave. I recommend you do the same
I was disappointed.

I’m driving home and I haven’t been to a Bonchon in like five years because I think their chicken went downhill so I decided to stop by at the Bonchon in Centerville to give it another try. I walked in and sat down at the bar, and noticed the floor is extremely sticky and the chairs feel gross. Let’s just say that wasn’t a good first impression, I order hot tea, some chicken wings with rice and kimchi. I got my cup of hot tea and then I noticed there’s a lipstick smeared all over the rim of the cup. Oh great. I let the gentleman know that my cup is dirty and then he replaces it with another dirty cup. At that point, I was completely done. I just wanted to eat and get out. The chicken the chicken tastes nothing like it tastes 10 years ago, it’s now smaller and greasier. When I was checking out at the register, I was looking around and then I realized that everything in that whole restaurant is dirty. You guys should shut down your restaurant and give it a good scrub for once in your life.

I ordered at 11:00 am arrived at store at 11:30 . I didn’t receive my order until 11:50!!! Drumsticks weren’t fresh at all . Popcorn shrimp horrible. But not as bad as the guy working in the front taking the orders . He needs to be trained on customer service asap! The kitchen workers can be heard throughout the store using foul language in Spanish . This is the worst experience ever . I would rather drive to Manassas location and I live 5 mins from this one in centreville .

Used to be very good. The flavor of spicy chicken changed. It’s flavorless with just obnoxiously spicy sauce on it. Bao buns were not as good as before. Cheese corn dog was extremely salty and doughy with very little cheese. Sodduksodduk was good.

I appreciated the man working the front who offered me utensils and was kind. The order was ready right on time and hot. My partner enjoyed the chicken katsu. For me, the bao buns had great flavor. But as other people mentioned, they are very stingy with the meat portions. It ruins what would otherwise be an excellent meal and leaves you feeling like the food wasn’t worth what you paid for it. ~$5 per bun for what is basically 60% dough, 30% slaw, and 10% meat. -2 stars.

We ordered chicken strips and were given tiny boneless pieces instead. When I called, the employee asked me to text him a photo, then laughed and claimed they “hammer” the chicken now, which makes it look smaller but supposedly the amount is the same. That didn’t seem believable. I ordered boneless again later, and they were identical to what they tried to pass off as strips.
It feels like they’re cutting costs. Paying $40 for 16 tiny pieces is unacceptable. I bought Bonchon from this location daily for three years when I worked in the area. I know what real strips look like. Unfortunately, you’ve lost a customer.

Ordered online. Food was ready 10 minutes later than guarantee. I was the only person waiting for food. No utensils in the bag. Online prompts by default tip 20% on an online carry out order. Food wasn’t even that great. The pork belly bao buns had such a small amount of meat inside. Only reason we sometimes get it is because my girlfriend likes it.

Tables are very well spaced out here so we felt comfortable dining in. Service and food were both excellent. Tried the spicy chicken Korean tacos for the first time and they were SUPER juicy and flavorful. And of course, the fried chicken…always hits the spot 🙂
