Amazing food and great service!
This place is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants around. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. I’m pretty sure the owner’s son, Eddie, is the one cooking most days. He’s super friendly, incredibly talented in the kitchen, and not gonna lie, very good-looking too. The whole experience is always great here. Highly recommend!

El Chaparito Taqueria in Livermore is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the incredible aroma of authentic Mexican cooking. The food is consistently delicious — flavorful, fresh, and generously portioned.
Their tacos are some of the best in the area, especially the carne asada and al pastor, which are perfectly seasoned and grilled. The burritos are huge and packed with ingredients, You can really taste the quality and care in every dish.
The staff is friendly, quick, and always attentive, even during busy hours. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get, making it a great spot for a quick bite, family meal, or casual lunch break.
If you’re in Livermore and craving authentic Mexican food, El Chaparito Taqueria is definitely worth the stop. Highly recommended!

Overall very good. Won’t be disappointed. Clean simple flavors. Salsas could use some more flavor (pinch of salt)but not a deal killer. Affordable and plenty of seating. Only thing that threw me off was the building from the outside looks like an old ranch house. Could use some better signage.

Quite possibly the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! I got the steak burrito and then came back the next day for chicken enchiladas. Food was amazing and staff was super friendly. Pretty quiet and cozy for a late lunch, and was just really charming (and delicious)! Wish they had a full ba,r but still, a great spot. Thank you!

The three tacos I ordered to eat in house, with carne asada, chicken and carnitas, were about the very best tacos I have EVER eaten and outstanding at $3.75 each. Just brimming with delicious ingredients meats, whole beans, salads, cooked onions and radishes and salsa. Not very spicy but I love heat and there was plenty of different kinds of habanero sauce to chili things up. Not perceptibly oversalted. I went away with a happy tummy for sure, or was that the Modelo? I just wish the cutlery wasn’t plastic but I guess the metal forks have legs. Recommend if you like friendly non-gringo taquerias with local ambience and excellent food!

Been here twice now and it’s consistently good for super burritos. Their a good size, but pricier than you would expect for the area. Super burritos are $15 but you need to add another $2.25 for some specialty meats. They have a huge selection of meats. I’ve tried cabeza, tripa, buche, lengua and their all good. Requested for no added salt, light sour cream and rice, and they were able to accommodate. Small/medium sized restaurant with mostly indoor and limited outdoor seating. No salsa bar, but they have 3 kinds of salsas. Parking is easy in their parking lot. I would go back again

Love that they were open late. Made this stop on the home from SF. Young and friendly staff. Steak tacos is delicious! I’m not really a fan of wet tacos, they had beans in the tacos and tortillas was covered in the bean juice. Tacos were falling apart as I picked them up. I feel there was more beans than meat in the tacos. The girl at the register did recommend the al pastor taco stand outside the resturant but we didn’t get to try it.

Came here after seeing tons of positive reviews. As usual, I ordered s no meat burrito, expecting it to be very good (based on the previous reviews. The burritos was reasonably priced at $9. Service was rude, but fast. When i actually ate the burrito, i was surprised to find that it was filled with a ton of lettuce. Lettuce comprised about half of the burritos contents. It was also much lighter and smaller than most burritos I’ve had (this burrito is on the right side of the picture attached to this review). The burrito was probably the worst no meat burrito I’ve had in this area. I’d highly suggest finding a different burrito spot if you plan to order the no meat/veggie burrito. The only good part of this place is that it had good ambience and reasonably priced burritos.
