My wife and I visited during their soft opening phase, so I’ll update my review when we go back once they’re officially open.
That being said, I still recommend checking them out if you’re wanting tasty Cajun food. While my jambalaya had way less rice and was more of a stew than traditionally, it was still very good. My wife ordered the gumbo, which I think I preferred over the jambalaya. The Cajun green beans were ok, they were just canned green beans with bacon, and was very salty.
The beignets were the highlight of the meal, fresh from the fryer and covered in powdered sugar. If only they’d had some cafe au lait to go with it.

Very nice … Clean and smells great. A great new atmosphere. I don’t know much about Cajun food, but it was good. Boudin balls were great … Forgot to get a picture.

The steak and eggs at this new spot are outstanding—perfectly cooked steak, juicy and flavorful. Every bite feels hearty and satisfying, with great seasoning and quality ingredients. A standout breakfast that’s worth coming back for!The French toast here is excellent—golden and crisp on the outside, soft and custardy inside, with just the right touch of sweetness. Light hints of cinnamon and vanilla make each bite delightful. A must-try for anyone who loves a classic, indulgent breakfast! We will be back again to try other options!

I could have put up with the Cafeteria ambiance, the slow, inexperienced service, and the lack or beer. But the food was inedible. They messed up boiled potatoes! The ribs ? OMG tough, undercooked and slapped with some bbq sauce. $18 hamburger did nothing to impress. The servers were nice enough to take the uneaten ribs off the bill but I can’t see a reason to return. Sorry. It was just that terrible.

Shrimp and grits was over cooked. Rubbery shrimp and dry flavorless grits. Gumbo had so much gravy but did nothing to distract from the under cooked crunchy rice. Shrimp scampi was an oil slick worse than the Exxon Valdez. Also dried parsley over the entire dish felt out of the 90s. Manager did come to apologize

I was just at the Cajun Beach and St Augustine‘s. The food is absolutely amazing. You can tell everything is fresh. Hand cut french fries to die for! I had the gumbo the best I’ve had since I lived in New Orleans! My husband had the ribs and the meat just fell off the bone they were so juicy! Catfish bites and handmade onion rings for an appetizer. The atmosphere was very nice with soft jazz music! Can’t wait to go back for breakfast. This is a must try new restaurant.

Service was okay and the place looks clean and bright. However, the gumbo and jambalaya were definitely not traditional New Orleans style. I have been going to New Orleans a couple of times a year since 168 and have never seen jambalaya in a soupy roux. If the server had not told me which one was the jambalaya I would not have known. Both dishes were in a dark roux and except for a little more heat in the gumbo they tasted exactly the same. Both had lumps of rice added to the roux that had a few small tough shrimp and slices of sausage, with the gumbo having more sausage and the jamabalaya had a few pieces of bell pepper.

Extremely disappointed. We spent $85 for two people and barely had anything on our plates. All we ordered was two entrées and one appetizer — nothing fancy, no drinks — and the portions were shockingly small for the price. It felt completely overpriced for the amount of food we received.
To make things even more uncomfortable, the waitress stood next to our table awkwardly for most of the meal while we were trying to eat. It wasn’t attentive service — it was hovering. On top of that, she kept making odd jokes about how people allowed to bring in alcoholic drinks to “get business going.” All because they don’t have their alcohol license yet That’s not exactly something you want to hear while dining, and it came off unprofessional.
Between the tiny portions, high price, and uncomfortable service, it was not worth it at all. Definitely won’t be back.
Overall, a bad experience, especially when they ran in the back complaining about the tip to be honest they were lucky they got one chicken shouldn’t it taste like fish as well

Stopped in recently and had a very good experience. The menu offered a nice variety, portions were fair, and the quality matched the price. Staff was helpful and checked in appropriately throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. Would visit again.

My wife and I wanted to try this new place. For being open such a short time they did quite well. My wife ordered the Shrimp and grits and she really enjoyed it. I tried it and thought it was very tasty. I ordered the Gumbo and it was very flavorful. The waitress was very friendly and efficient and the place was super clean.
