We got there just before the dinner rush. The food was super fast and really good. The prices are a lot better than the cooking girl in sienna and the food is also a lot better. We got the spicy chicken spicy fish and some garlic eggplant. Would super recommend this place to anybody in the area.

I went to cooking girl just to try it out and honestly, it was pretty good! I got the general tsaos which tasted great and the chicken egg rolls were good like always. They did mess up our order though and got spicy dumplings instead of regular, but we just had them and they had a huge kick! Service was not the best since waiters were on their phones the whole time and we had to call them out to give us refills and to order, but it was fine as they were nice. Atmosphere was great but small and basic. Overall, liked it and will be back

I have had food from the Sienna restaurant before. We tried this location but the food here tasted different. The Happy Family sauce seem to have changed. The Mongolian Beef tasted more like Pepper steak. The chicken and veggies was also different. I am not sure if the recipes changed.

I have to use the word that I’m obsessed with their Chicken Spicy cube & their eggplant golden bar. I try so many other restaurants and they still have the best chicken spicy cube. It is a must try y’all
Update May 2025: food has been bad, I have been giving the restaurant so many attempts, hoping the food will get better but this is the last time I visit the place. Chicken spicy cube with half are flour, not real meat. They don’t even know how to cook the pan-fried pork dumplings from their own menu exactly like the picture of their menu. I attempted to show them how to cook , they said the dumplings either steam or fry, speechless!
I have been eating here for years and now even the dumpling cannot be the same ! They talked like it is my first time here. Very disappointed! Our two favorite dishes got worse, what’s the point of coming back!

We were looking for a place to eat and we came across Cooking Girl. The food was delish!! I had the sweet-and-sour cucumbers and we shared oxtail soup. Everything was wonderful. When I’m in Texas again I will visit again!

we recently visited the restaurant, twin pepper chicken price is up to $16.99, but the chicken was less and less! please the chicken is not that expensive!!!! if you continue to reduce the portion, nobody wants to come back!! Also we came here before, the twin pepper chicken was good! this time the chef may put too much MSG,we felt mouth drying all day long!

Was super excited to check this place out and it didn’t disappoint! My husband, mom and brother went on a Wednesday evening and the place was pretty empty so we were seated immediately. After a quick look through the menu, we chose the Cumin Lamb, Fried Spicy Chicken Cube and Hot Diving Fish. My husband is a vegetarian and when he asked the waiter what was good for him, the waiter offered a fried tofu dish which was not on the menu (he was happy with that because he loves fried tofu).
The Cumin Lamb was by far our favorite dish. The lamb was soft and flavorful. The Fried Spicy Chicken Cube was flavorful and after a few bites, you got the peppercorn flavor. The Hot Diving Fish was the disappointment – no flavor and the fish was super rubbery.
Overall, good food! It wasn’t as spicy as some other Sichuan places I’ve been to (Mala Sichuan and Pepper Twins). The service was amazing. This place has great potential!
