This is an excellent southern comfort soul food restaurant. The service here was excellent and the food came out in large quantity and was delicious. It is located in an older building in downtown with what I can only imagine has a storied history by its ornate interior style. It is really easy to find using Google Maps.

We just ate at Ro’Mea’s in downtown Hopkinsville and it was so good. My husband said it was number one on his list of best meals out at a restaurant in the world. For me, it’s in the top 10. Ms. Jackie is the chef and Ro’Mea’s daughter. This woman is practicing a dying art. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. Our fried chicken came with two sides, bread, dessert and a drink. All for under $20.

This is one of the nicest looking restaurants in Hopkinsville. The best way for updated information is their Facebook page but I submitted an edit to get this google to get it up to current information. The ambiance inside is gorgeous and spacious with plenty of room and even a selfie wall! This is definitely the best fried chicken in Hopkinsville by far and also Clarksville for that matter. The white beans were very flavorful and the mashed tater gravy was really good. Banana pudding was delicious. The old lady at the front counter seemed a little lost but I could tell she was trying her best. I got my food a little after 15 minutes of calling it in so definitely prompt and efficient. The pricing is about $20 a person and when you factor in the drink and dessert I feel like this is a good deal. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing you this business grow

My experience was a great one. I never left a review anywhere but I felt obligated to let y’all know that this was one of the best dining experiences I had in Hopkinsville! The restaurant was eat of the floor clean. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The owner is very attentive. Our server Bobby was AMAZING. We had 0 wait time. We came maybe 30 minutes before it closed and the food was FRESH FRESH. The food was seasoned perfectly and sides was BUSSIN BUSSIN. Great portions and prices. Atmosphere was definitely vibe! And if your like me and need something sweet after a meal DESSERT IS INCLUDED WITH THE MEAL. They got a lifetime customer OMB.

I got the BBQ pork chops, loaded mashed potatoes, greens, and cornbread, plus a sweet tea and banana pudding, all as a carry out order. It was all SO GOOD! Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean, including restroom. Parking during the day can be a little difficult.

I had the fried ribs, mac and cheese with sweet potatoes, hot water cornbread, strawberry lemonade and caramel cake. The best home cooked meal I’ve had in a while ( without me having to do it). My waitress Ms. Mary was top notch and they will be seeing me again.
