If you’re artsy at all you will automatically love this place. I visited here for my 50th birthday for coffee. I got the mocha pistachio iced coffee. It was wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. There is a couch and chairs for seating at the entrance with a shelf full of games and tables in the back. This is also a Safe Place. My boys are in their 20’s. I want them to be aware of as many safe places as possible. As a mother.. I love this idea. Also… this would be a great place for young people to go for a first date to get coffee.
All of the art was done by the owner.
Great place. Will return.

Third street stuff is one of those places I would revisit again and again just for the atmosphere. Right as you walk in you are met with a very welcoming and cozy environment. There is plenty of seating including worn down old looking couches, the best ones and next to them i spotted some board games welcome to customers to use, how fun. The interior also includes many beautiful art murals inside and out. I love the personality the place has, it not only sells coffee and baked goods but also plenty and plenty of handmade crafts including socks, jewelry, wallets, stickers, pins and bags etc. When I went the place was packed with people studying, eating and just hanging out and I think this is the perfect spot of all three. If i had to recommend a coffee spot for someone new in lexington i would definitely refer them to this super underrated spot.

Third Street Stuff is the most colorful and unique coffee shop in Lexington! I absolutely LOVE the vibes here. The walls are covered in beautiful paintings and photos, and they always have very friendly staff. This shop has a very creative and welcoming vibe. It’s a great spot to chill and do homework or just hang out with friends! During my last visit, I ended up talking to a traveler, and we shared our stories of visiting Malaysia, which made my experience even more memorable. The drinks are great (especially the lattes!), and they have food options as well. I personally love their outdoor seating area; they have lots of plants and little birds, and it’s a very peaceful spot to hang out. The outside of the building is also covered in colorful art and murals, giving it a warm and inviting atmosphere. Third Street Stuff feels like a place where everyone belongs, and it’s absolutely worth a visit!

What a vibe! They serve delicious slices of cake, pretty nice and also very delicious options of bagels, and coffee that’s always well-brewed and balanced. The place is visually wild, in the best possible way. There’s so much to look at, from the funky decor to the colorful chaos that somehow feels perfectly intentional. A beautifully organized mess, and I say that with love!

Special place, special people, unique experience. We loved the vibe, food, coffee and all the thought-provoking pictures, cards, painting and art. Our whole family would have loved hanging out for hours coloring pictures or playing board games. Love sharing time and sending love to those you share time and space with. A must see place and support local workers doing what they love.

Great cafe! Nice coffee and friendly staff. Lots of artsy stuff (the whole cafe is a canvas) and leather couches.

I really like this place for the atmosphere and the focus on the local community. It’s covered in vibrant, colorful artwork with a mix of seating appropriate for lounging or working. There’s also a small selection of board games and craft supplies!

The drinks are really good, though not quite as consistent as other places I’ve visited. They also sell baked goods from local businesses and art themed gifts, so check it out!

A warm, welcoming, eclectic coffee shop, this place maintains an aura of the mid-90s but stays up to date and current with worldy events. A fun space to spend time with others or to study, there’s even a board game corner and local items for sale, amongst other things. And while there isn’t anything fancy about their coffee (no pour-over or anything), it’s still delicious and smooth. I will be back for sure.

True gem. Lots of fun stuff to buy. Really tasty coffee drinks. Pistachio cake is de vine. Touches of Orange cream in the icing. Friendly staff. If you are one who can’t handle rainbows? Perhaps there are other places. However, no aggression AT YOU TO COMPLY! At All. More like a hug than a fist, without any questions as to where they are politically. Dave approved (they didn’t ask, but old Mann offers) Dave enthusiastic endorsed!

My undergrad college was right next to Third Street Stuff, so this has been a favorite spot for me for a long time. Great range of coffee drinks and pastries. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. The “stuff” section has gotten smaller over the years, but there are still lots of cool gifts and items for purchase. They’ve added a large loose-leaf tea selection since I was last there. Their seasonal drinks are always worth checking out. Staff is consistently friendly. Soooo much personality in the space–it’s a great place to spend some time. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the the Lexington area.
