Silva’s Taqueria is the place to go for flavorful Oaxacan Food. The Tlayudas with Carne Asada, Black Beans, Cabbage, Oaxacan Cheese, Guacamole, Salsa, and Cilantro on a Large Homemade Tortilla are fantastic. The Gorditas are three mouth-watering Sandwiches filled with tender Pork, Pinto Beans, Lettuce, Queso Fresco, Tomato, Avocado, and Cilantro. This dish is easy to share. The Red Salsa is a beautiful deep rich red and tastes amazing. Free parking and covered outside seating.

One of the better places for Oaxacan in ‘Eugene’. We usually go with tacos, which can be inconsistent but reliably decent. For example Al pastor used to be fatty, salty, and lots of orange oil, now it’s more dry and tastes like pork loin, dialed back the salt which we appreciate. Tlayuda is huge, I ordered for only myself, and could only eat a quarter. Am used to more fresh toppings in Cali but you do get lots of meat, cheese, and bean spread. Good to know: place sometimes closes with a paper in front of the food truck saying they took the day off. If you aren’t in the ‘hood, call before you make the trip. Bring extra napkins of your own as tacos at least can be messy eating. We find it tiresome to have to ask repeatedly for sauce and napkins, no matter how much food you order he wants to give you one napkin and 1 tiny sauce cup. Regarding friendly neighborhood pod, its a nice mostly outdoor space with a small covered seating area inside. We usually go early so we can get a table inside as outside seating at least during summer has lots of bees. We had to get our food to-go and leave midway last time due to 10+ bees swarming/crawling in our food (they love Mexican? or there is lots of sugar in the food?)

Found this cart off a random Google search and holy cow it’s amazing. I asked what they recommended and ended up with a tlayuda, which is like a giant tostada on a homemade tortilla. I went with pollo and although I usually prefer shredded meat this chicken was cooked perfectly and had no weird cartilage bits. All the ingredients taste super fresh and the Oaxaca cheese is *chef’s kiss*. I’d recommend sharing this with 1-2 people because it’s huge, but it’s oh so tasty. Very happy I found this place and I’ll definitely be back!

This tastes like oaxaca! So good, we will definately be coming back! The tlayudas are yummy! It’s a large corn tortilla with beans, meat and oaxacan cheese topped with veggies and sauce. Quesadilla was also delish.

Home-cooked Mexican food from the Oaxaca region. The tacos are very good and with homemade tostillas. Try the “Molotes,” potato masa fritters with pork and beans, not to be missed!

Only have positive things to say about this place! I ordered the steak burrito and it was really great–perfectly cooked and balanced–and I know my burritos! Also the salsa verde was soo good I didn’t even want to try any other salsas… it was that good. Give this place a shot–it’ll be your next weekly or daily place!

It’s a food truck, so the atmosphere ranking is a bit of a misnomer, but the Friendly Garden is a great spot.

I believe this to be the best Mexican food in Eugene. Or, at least I find this the tastiest.

I repeatedly have the Carnitas Burrito, the meat is always wonderful, with a little crispness. Flavors are great. Always friendly service.

I drive out of my way to go here
