We ended up trying a little bit of everything, and nothing disappointed. The onion rings were excellent—super crispy with that perfect crunch. The grilled chipotle lime chicken quesadilla was another hit: great lime flavor, a gentle kick of spice, and a beautifully charred tortilla. We also ordered the pork belly tacos and the pork belly banh mi. Both were delicious. The banh mi could’ve used a little more meat, but honestly, it had the typical amount you see for that style, and the sweet-salty combo was really fun!
Because everything was so good, we decided to circle back and grab the hot pastrami sandwich after seeing someone else order it—and WOW!!! That thing was a full-on showstopper! Loaded with meat, melty, flavorful, cheesy… it’s an absolute must! Honestly didn’t even want to share this! This sandwich and the pork belly tacos were our favorites, but truly, everything was solid!
Food came out quickly, there were plenty of open tables, and we’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area! Totally calorie worthy!
Beer Brined Jumbo Wings ($13): Six in Hoisin Sambal and accompanied by Blue Cheese on the side. From ordering to delivery took about 10 minutes. Decently sized pieces, half drumsticks, half flats, pretty meaty and evenly sauced. Tasty. Semi-chunky dip was good too.
Value: Very good.
Service: Very pleasant and helpful.
We started with the Elote Salsa and Chips, which was a tasty twist from the usual chips and salsa! For our main courses, we had the Craft Burger and the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were great! The burger was cooked well and served with fresh toppings, and the fried chicken was very crispy.
Overall, it was great beer paired with some great food! We will definitely return on our next trip.
The burgers are overcooked and not juicy otherwise they could have been great instead of just ok.
I suggest to request medium or medium rare.
Sides:
Enchilada chips
Chips with cold enchilada sauce and a dust
of cheese with raw onion slices is not great.
Onion rings:
OK.
I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the pull pork sandwich.
Food came out and looked presentable. Started eating into the chicken and after getting a good way through it I realised it was thoroughly undercooked. More than that it was fully raw. The thoughts of food poisoning while trying to get a long haul flight back to Ireland had me really upset as I am due to fly home tomorrow.
I brought the chicken sandwich back up. The server brought it back you the kitchen and apologised. I wasn’t happy with this I wanted rh to acknowledge they sold me raw chicken. They refused. I then asked for raw chicken back they also refused.
Then the chef manager came out. He was condescending and riled me up. He verbally acknowledged the chicken was raw and said the staff member that cooked the chicken was dealt with and then continued to say that I should be grateful that he came out to apologise to me. He could have just stayed in his kitchen. He then compared my experience to McDonalds and said McDonald’s wouldn’t do it. Difference is McDonald’s have quality controls in place. It’s clear the Arts District Kitchen does not.
Receipts attached to prove this is a genuine review.
The staff in this kitchen are not adequately trained to cook the food.
