Reviews
This is first time visiting this restaurant, I didn’t know this location was at the Pacific Center, after talking to the server, I realized it’s the same owner and chef, so I was very pleased to try their dish again after COVID, please see my below comments.
1.Restaurant environment: This location is way smaller than the previous one, total about 7 seats, 1 big round table and 3 medium ones and 3 small ones. If you have a big party, I don’t think this is a good spot. Music is all in Chinese, not too loud which is good.
2.Menu: Most of the dishes are spicy, you need to be careful if you can’t handle spicy, also you could ask the waitress to adjust the spicy level. Menu is one page only, that makes it so easy to read.
3.Food quality: This time I decided to tried their signature dish which is the Szechuan fish (with bone in). There were so many meat and vegetables you could choose to add on, but the fish itself already came with lots of things inside with no extra charge. (complimentary two choices of meat and two choices of veggies), any add ons cost extra money. Fish was absolutely delicious and everything was so flavorful, fish was very fresh, meat was very firm, didn’t taste like frozen ones, skin was crispy, there were lots of add on meat and veggies that soaked in the sauce, which were flavored as well. Even though we ordered bone in fish, there were too many small bones, but still, if you can’t eat bone in, just ordering no bone fish. We couldn’t even finish the whole fish ( just two of us), so we had to box the leftovers.
4.Drinks: I didn’t try their drinks, only water. But i saw other people ordered water melon juice and they were fresh made! Very surprising!
5.Parking: They don’t have their own parking, it’s Chinatown parking just like other restaurants. We came on a Sunday, so it was a free parking. But I saw a big parking lot across the street from this restaurant, I guess you can park there but with a fee though.
6.Service: We didn’t get much service since we just ordered one dish, but she seemed pretty nice that she was telling everyone that they will have Chinese BBQ soon (skewers) which i am very excited about.
Overall, this one fish dish was more than enough for two people, the price was not too bad, about 60 dollars for two people (before tax and tips), we still had some leftovers. Flavor was very good, spicy was the key! My wife and I love spicy food, so fish was spicy enough for us, also numbing too, love it! If I have to pick out some flaws, that will be parking and the size of this restaurant, there is no free parking and size is too small for group of 10 plus people.
But I will come back again to try other dishes, especially the noodle caught my attention, also Chinese BBQ as well.
Hope my feedback is helpful, it’s definitely worthy to try, Bon Appetit!
