5 stars isn’t enough for the Fish & Palm nut soup. Definitely one of the best combinations I’ve had in a while. Honestly, this is a contender for the best food in the city.

The food was amazing. Egg rolls were so delicious. The sauce I had left over I used on my lettuce to make it a salad dressing type. And my main course meal was just delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try everything on the menu

I don’t typically review restaurants, but my taste buds were not prepared for how delicious the food was; the place itself is quite humble, but the food 10/10

Who would’ve thought I’d have a chance to have Senegalese cuisine in Sidney OH?!

The appetizer pataya was basically a ground beef (???) empanada with an onion chutney (??) with spices that I’m unfamiliar with.

I had the palm nut soup. I wasn’t sure what to expect. There was a couple chunks of lamb with bones. It’s reminiscent to a curry to me. It wasn’t creamy. It was spiced heavily enough that it was not super lamb-y. Normally I’m not a fan of lamb. I had the side of fufu. It’s pounded cassava powder and has a texture reminiscent of mochi with a different corn-y after taste.

We also had the chicken. The chicken breast felt a tad dry, but it might be exactly what it’s supposed to be with the dry rub spices.

We had the bouye drink. It’s thick, kinda gritty, a bit sour and sweet. It’s quite unlike anything I’ve ever had!

I love trying new cuisine and am absolutely stoked to have been able to try African food! I’m upset that I was too full to try the dessert! The fufu was very filling!

Very good food and service. Pictured dishes are the Lamb Yassa and Firir. Both were very tasty, and the Firir vegetables were a refreshing level of spicy. The neme (egg rolls) were also very tasty. Honestly, the bissap is kind of an acquired taste.
