The environment here is amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful to me since I had never been here before. I took one star off the food because I ordered two items. One was a yogurt bowl and the other was a bowl of green chili. The yogurt bowl was outstanding in presentation and taste. However as a green chili enthusiast I was not impressed by the green chili. It tasted as if they had accidentally dumped pepper in it and it overpowered everything else in the recipe. It was like eating straight black pepper. I will 100% be coming back to try more food here just based on environment and service alone. The yogurt bowl won me over for sure! Give this place a try, you may find something you really like here. Also, I didn’t try the donuts but they looked delicious.

A classic breakfast diner. We loved everything we tried and the prices were super reasonable.

The iced coffee with whipped cream was so rich it was basically diabetes in a cup! If you like sweet drinks you’ll love it.

The bacon was cooked perfectly and the gravy was really good on the biscuits and gravy.

Yummy food and smiling faces. Diner feel & warm restaurant, which is a nice change. I feel like the meal was a little overpriced. $40 for me and my son! Everything else was good.

We were passing through town and saw this adorable little spot on our map! What an absolute treat!! Great staff energy, $0.50 donuts, & the food was 10/10 diner quality. We will be recommending this place to everyone near by!!

Cute lil breakfast joint. You pay at the front and seat yourself. I went on Sunday and it seems like it gets busy on the weekend so I’d get there early. Cheap good breakfast.

The food is mid quality, confidently presented but nothing special. The staff is very friendly. A step Above hole in the wall but not particularly fancy for atmosphere.

I’ll start with saying be careful ordering online. The half order of the French toast on the in store menu is $4. If you try to order the same thing for delivery or carry out just the thought of having French toast starts at 6.99 to get the half order it’s $4 in top of that and a full order is $6.99 more. So $11 for a half order and $14 for a full order! When it’s $4 and $7 in the store respectively. Not sure if this is intentional cause you know This is America! Or if it’s a mistake. But be aware when ordering online.

With that the prices are reasonable (in store). You walk in and order at the counter, lady wasn’t very welcoming. Just a “what can I get for you” and move out of the way vibe, even when you’re the only one in line. Which I get, they were busyish. Ordered some food and donuts. Donuts, maybe it’s just the way they’re displayed don’t look very appealing. Maybe it’s the bad lighting in the cases and the off yellow shelves.

Anyway ordered and our food was done FAST!! It maybe took 5mins. Had to check the bags when we got to the car cause I thought this can’t be accurate, and it was! Everything was there hot and fresh. Thought we’d be waiting for a bit. So they’re efficient and accurate! Points there. And the food was decent. On par with literally every other restaurant in the Thornton area. Nothing that’s going to change your life or write home to your mom about but it was hot, cooked well, tasted decent.

Give them a shot! You probably won’t be disappointed.

I had such a great experience here for breakfast! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was super friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right.

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. #7 Eddie’s Special was the highlight for me, but honestly everything looked tempting. The portions were generous without being over the top, and you can tell they care about quality ingredients.

I also loved the vibe of the place—cozy, clean, and a perfect spot to start the day, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over coffee.

Definitely one of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to in a while. Highly recommend!

My husband and I love the grumpy egg cafe, they have been around for a while now and this has become our weekly breakfast spot. The staff is always sweet, it’s always busy here and the food has good consistency with flavor and quality. It’s cute, comfortable and feels like home. Absolutely no notes.
