We went last Sunday to have a dinner, we used to go but in the las 6 months we didn’t.
The food was awful. Expensive, the waitress interrupted me while I was explaining something to my husband, pushing me to orther I said we need a moment them he asked us what to drink and I said waTter please and he asked again the Saime. We ordered and we ask is this spice he said no! And Yes it was. Dish with a lot of orange oil, very nasty, sorry guys Indint used topmost something like that but I need to do.

Had a 12 top celebrating my nephews birthday. Staff was amazing and the food was even better. We’ve visited this restaurant many times and will continue to celebrate birthdays there for my niece and nephew for years to come. It’s has become a tradition!!

I’ve had better service at a DMV. Not even sure who are waitress and/or waiter was, as they rarely came check on tables, refill waters, and are constantly MIA. Service sucks. The food also sucks.

An ordinary experience. Ordered drinks at 5:56 and received them minutes later. Didn’t see our waiter again until 6:45. A manager (I think) came over at 6:30 and asked if we needed anything and took our order. There were no less than 4 other waiters outside but not ours.
Good tamale and carne asada taco as well as the potosinas and quesabirria. Enchilada was room temperature. It was a pleasant experience since the weather was nice and we weren’t in a rush. Oh, great churros.

Came to Carretas for Margaritas, we always order the house Margaritas, but they just tasted different. Normally they are good but we found out they were premixed. They just didn’t taste good so we ordered the Organic Margaritas, what a difference!! But that’s where they get you, they are premixed so you will be disappointed and then you end up ordering the Organic which cost more because they are made fresh. We had a nice time sitting outside on the patio, the weather was nice and the wait staff was very helpful. Bring back the house Margaritas but have a different person make the mix, might make a difference in your revenue.

This is the second bad experience here in a row. My street tacos had some habanero or some other extremely spicy pepper mixed in and it burned my tongue so badly I couldn’t talk for five minutes. I couldn’t finish my food. I politely told the waiter about the peppers. There were a lot of ways he could have responded- “I’m so sorry,” “let me get you another taco,” or “thanks for letting me know I’ll pass that along to the chef,” are just some of the ways. But he just stood there staring dumbly at me. The service is pretty bad also. A lot of times the waiters are just milling around at the hostess desk not checking on their tables. Last time we were there our waiter flirted with the hostess the entire time, making us wait forever to get his attention so we could ask for our check.

The prices are a bit high, but the food is always good. It’s a great neighborhood meet up place. Servers are usually very nice and the food comes out quick.
