No matter what location you go to, you can always count on Oberweis for some superior quality ice cream as well as solid & friendly customer service.
I’ve had their lemonade, egg nog and milk from grocery stores in the past (all are great) but whenever we stop in at a store, it’s to treat our boys to some grade A ice cream.
By all means not cheap even before the COVID hit along with the unnecessary inflation and minimum wage hike but the wonderful taste of their ice cream is worth it as well as my boys.
Dining area just like any location I’ve been to is kept clean and service shines as always. I guess at least one of my photos which I took in January of this year that I’ll be posting will be considered outdated since That Burger Joint closed, oh well.
We live pretty far north in Beach Park in northeastern Lake Co but are in Skokie quite a bit since my wife likes to browse Old Orchard Mall so a stop back in here is likely. Hope for continued boomin’ business for the owner(s).

if you want a seriously decked out ice cream experience, this is the place for you. they’ve got a handful of attractive options if you really want to celebrate. outdoor spacing is appreciated, and the quality just does not get better than this with tons of toppings included.
however it is pretty damn expensive, the pictured ice cream was over $10, so it’s a bit of a rip-off and hopefully they can control the value soon

The lemon blackberry is some of the best I’ve ever had! Chocolate lovers was yummy too. Inside is very clean and cold like most ice cream stores. They share the lobby with the burger joint.

For ice cream yes I highly recommend it but for hotdogs no ,because they charge cash only !!! So they have an ATM which is extra fees!!! And update regarding this review, after asking about the hotdogs part they’re independent and no partnership with oberweis, oberweis deserves the 5 stars

While the ice cream was fantastic and the young lady that took our order, Andrea, was efficient, that was all that was enjoyable about our visit, as we were walking in all the tables outside had not been cleaned up, we walked in and the garbage was piled up and observed ALL tables were dirty and had dishes on them, we brought this to Andrea’s attention, she smiled and said she would have someone take care of it. A young man named David, came out from the back and asked what table we would like to sit at, with a terrible attitude, I stated that whichever ones are clean because they were all filthy. He cleaned 1 table, only ONE, and went to the back. When we arrived there was 1 couple there and 1 person in the driveway and 4 employees at 1035pm, so they weren’t busy. Once we received all our ice cream a family of 5 walked in and then an older couple, I realized they had no where to sit, so I waited until their orders were taken and saw the team leader, Thomas, I expressed to him that the tables were still filthy and that his team member only came to clean 1 table off. He smiled and said he knew and that they had a pretty busy day and couldn’t get to it, I told him we brought it to the employees attention and they were all still dirty, and now they had other customers that needed a place to sit, he said they were swamped and brushed it off, when again it was almost closing time. I let him know I would be contacting someone the next day, again he didn’t seem to care. The older couple that came in ended up sitting at a table that was dirty. Closing time came & went and still nothing was being cleaned, my children asked Andrea for a to go container and she was moving things and cleaning the back while the other 2 employees came out and grabbed a drink from the place next door and used the restroom. Still no cleaning had been done, and I noticed David just standing at the burger place next door speaking with the one employee over there. We went to purchase some milk and went to leave, David was still talking, so I went to get his name and left.

Quick and accurate. It shares the building with a burger spot so you’ll get the occasional whiff of a grill. I’ll come here and typically get their mint chip shake and just love it. They add their oberweis milk and homemade whip cream. It’s just delicious.
