A friend that I was visiting told me that Del’s is a Rhode Island staple and that I must go to one while in the state. I was skeptical expecting a regular snow cone but was pleasantly surprised. It’s a soft ice treat in between a snow cone and slushy. They have several flavor options. I tried the watermelon and loved it. There are several locations across the state.

Delicious and refreshing after a day at the beach! We ordered from the food truck at Blue Shutters beach today and had both the lemon and watermelon. Service was excellent. They had 3 sizes to choose from. Priced fair. It was my first time at Del’s and we will definitely be back!

Great little shop that sells Dels Lemonade!! Friendly staff. They had hot pretzels and popcorn to purchase. They have different flavors but watermelon and lemon are my two go to flavors. Love the fact that you can purchase the plastic tube to take home. ❤️

Del’s is always yummy and refreshing! Store should have music playing for customers… it’s creepy how silent it was.

I love that this location isn’t on wheels so we know right where to find it with confidence. If your going to Del’s, you already know what to expect in the product. Although they did have a new flavor the kids seemed to really enjoy this past visit. The product is excellent and unduplicated by others. It’s one of the things childhood memories are made of. The counter help can be lacking a few brain cells at times, but the product more than covers any minor annoyances.

SOOOOO GOOD! Softer than Italian ice but not quite drinkable. Not sickeningly sweet. If you’re expecting a super sweet Italian ice, this is not it. I got lemon and blood orange and both were fantastic! Chunks of real lemon in it so you can tell they use real fruit.

Perfect stop on your way to the beach to get frozen lemonade drinks with really yummy flavors. We got the frozen lemonade which was so good. Not too sour or sweet just perfect. Then the watermelon as well. These frozen drinks were just what we needed on a hot day by the gorgeous ocean! Highly recommend you stop there before heading to park a few minutes away at Misquamicut.

EDIT: owner has responded and is addressing the issues accordingly. Thank you! Looking forward to a great season! (Updated to 4 stars.)
Not sure if they are yet open for the season, despite Google Maps indicating that they are open (possibly due to lack of seasonal hours feature, so making an edit just now). Trying our luck not expecting much.
3-4 Del’s trucks parked in the lot, looking hopeful. Except the front is dark with the “Closed” sign up. Oh well, guess they’re not open.
That said, I believe that if a business is operating seasonally, they should be proactive in providing customers with useful info, such as months of operation in the least. There was no window signage to inform anything, website vaguely states “spring” (which is now), and the phone number listed in Yelp brings us to a voicemail at the Kingstown location which says something to the tone of “open 7 days from 10-8”.
Maybe the locals know their routine by now, but wouldn’t it hurt to make it more clear for the less experienced? Updating Google Maps seasonally also helps. Two stars for leaving people hanging with no means to obtain useful information.

My favorite childhood treat, unfortunately the furthest location south is in Westerly. I was so happy to have my kids experience the real stuff, lemon chunks and all. I bought an extra quart and put it in a Yeti bottle and I was able to have frozen Del’s Lemonade in Virginia!

The roadside truck on Rte 1 I Westerly was a VERY welcome treat after several hours across the street!! I love Del’s and could drink it by the bucket.
