I really enjoy this place! The coffee is great with interesting flavors, (if you like banana bread get the banana bread coffee – thank me later) the staff is helpful and they have a really decent selection of food with vegetarian and gluten free options. A great place for lunch!

Interesting airplane aesthetic, ample seating indoor and outdoors, many coffee and food options, solid coffee, outlets available. Not very cozy due to the noncohesive interior design and plastic seating. My sausage biscuit took 30 minutes to come out, though it tasted pretty good. They also ran out of all bagels which is surprising.

Lift is so solid. They take their coffee seriously. Vegetarian sandwiches are very good. They’re open 7am everyday. You can get a local beer. They have a high-walled, back-patio space or you can sit inside, watching Broad Street through the storefront glass. They’ve been around forever. Humble giant among Richmond’s coffee shops. Thanks for the consistently good experience.

Really enjoyed this place. The space, the service, the coffee!!!!
Found this place off of the reviews, and walked over from the hotel. While on a road trip, you don’t find many good coffee places, Lift was awesomeness!!!
Walked in and ordered, asked for a cup of water for the pup, guy tells me they have a bowl out back. He made sure the water was fresh for us.
While walking that way, I also realized they served hot food. So glad, because it was great. Sat in the outdoor space with the pup and enjoyed!
Not sure if I mentioned, the coffee!!! It was so good, I left with an extra one to go!!!
The outdoor space was super welcoming and spacious. Also, there is parking out back.
Check ’em out!!!

Very attentive service with excellent coffee and food. We were in Richmond for a couple of days and came here both mornings for breakfast! The Mayan Mocha is excellent – nicely spiced, rich chocolate taste and not too sweet.
The breakfast burrito, avocado toast and grilled cheese are all wonderful. We especially loved the jalapeno sauce in the burrito and grilled cheese.
Every staff person we encountered was welcoming, kind and thorough.
Looking forward to another trip to Richmond soon!

9/22/24 – What a cute place! I got the pesto salad and green smoothie. Both were delicious. I loved the outside patio area that has a wing mural. The cashier was great taking my order along with 6 of my friends. Would love to come back again when visiting Richmond.

Came here for brunch after a long flight. I got the breakfast burrito with veggie sausage and the Teddie bear latte. Both incredible!

This place had great drinks. I had a latte, it was really good. My sister had Chai. We both had good and it was good. We were worried about finding parking but that worked out just fine. And we were able to find a table it was late morning on a Monday. The vibe is good there and they have a good menu. It’s popular, so you may not want to go if you are in a hurry. But, we loved this place and will be back.

We heard about this coffee shop when we were in Myrtle Beach as a place to check out. We had been traveling up the coast and trying out coffee shops all along the way. From Orlando to NYC. We stopped in for breakfast. We had the fancy oatmeal (oats with fresh chopped apples and dried cranberries, cinnamon). The oats were more of a muesli style, more dry and crunchy than creamy, but very good with nice seasonings and served hot.
The churro latte was delicious, not too sweet not overly seasoned. The drip medium brew was also very good not bitter and not too bold.
Barista was friendly and helpful in making my coffee selection. Great experience
