Social Profile:

Krispy Krunchy Chicken® (KKC), founded in Louisiana in 1989, is a quick-serve solution for convenience stores, truck stops, universities, casinos, and big box retailers across the U.S. Every piece of our chicken and tenders is marinaded in a proprietary mix of mild but oh-so-flavorful spices, then double hand-breaded and fried to golden perfection. We serve it with the best sides around and most every order comes with a little bit of crowning glory – a freshly baked biscuit, generously drizzled with pure honey goodness.

Fast-food eatery specializing in Cajun-style fried chicken, plus wings, seafood, breakfast & more.

The chicken was very good and the fries were good. The fries could have been more crisp. Took longer than expected to get the chicken. Looks like they could have used more help. Not the cleanest place to dine in. I suggest ordering in advance and taking it home. The price was very good for the amount of food. Will try again if passing through. This time we will try placing the order in advance. The honey biscuits were very good as well.

I want to start off by saying this place is a literal hole-in-the-wall, attached to the peteol station at this intersection. Hence the 3 for atmosphere.

But I rated it a 5? Well, I tell you ha-what.

Today is my wife’s and my 6th anniversary. Her date plans fell through, and I had to scramble for a Plan-B “Cheer me up” date plan. So, I figured SoCo food and anime before she went eith her sister to Taylor Swift.

And cue finding this place on Google Maps.

Now, lemme tell ya. If you like Southern Comfort food, you’re gonna LOVE it when it has a Middle Eastern twist of love and care added to it. Not only was the guy running it amazing, he added extra seasonings (after asking) right there!

It smelled amazing the whole ride home. Tenders, whole pieces, shrimp, fries, biscuits (two of which were blueberry muffins! ) temders, and mac & cheese. I could barely contain my excitement and appetite for the 20-minute drive.

But patience has its rewards.

Every. Single. Thing. Was *AMAZING*! Having spent several years in the South for the military, I know their flavors and textures. These textures were spot-on! The flavors were exotic.

A flavor bomb of savory and mildly spicy. Not herby as one would expect in SoCo foods. Perfectly juicy meat with citrus. The flavors built upon one another like a stack of LEGO.

And the sheer QUANTITY of food one gets for the price is well worth it. These pieces are NOT small.

Just for the flavor experience, and the pleasure to speak with the proprietor again? 11/10. Will most certainly order again!

I could not stop eating the chicken, best tasting chicken around. Better than KFC, better than Popeyes, better than Chick-fil-A.
The honey butter biscuits are amazing, so moist and tasty, and their signature chicken sandwich has the honey on there too and it’s amazing.
When it comes to the food and service, I just wish I would have ate the fries at the store cause they got soggy on my drive home.
Only bad note is the atmosphere, it’s in a gas station and is set up kinda sketchy. They need an IT guy and/or electrician in there to make it look a bit better.

Their service is definitely slow, and sometimes careless. This is the only halal chicken fry place, they have so much scope for success but i don’t know if they care much.

I miss this place so much! Moved away years ago and my kids and I still crave their chicken at least once per month. I almost got on a plane because it’s worth a thousand mile trip.

The catfish was great! The service was far better than the atmosphere but what do you expect from a gas station. Don’t let the atmosphere distract you from going there though. The food and service was great!

Called in ahead asked if the had chicken skins that they used to serve. The guy on the phone said “yes brother everything ready we have it ready”. Drove out my way to come here and when I got to the counter he act like he didn’t understand English or knew what I was talking about then offered me a 2 piece dark chicken combo. Waisted my time, energy and gas coming here. I won’t recommend this place nor will I return. Thanks

Absolutely DISGUSTING. Nothing crispy or crunchy about it. Full of grissle, thick, dry, and zero crunch or crisp. Forgot all of my sauce, and I do not like chicken without ranch. Regardless of if i do or don’t, include what i pay for! Also, Mac n Cheese had 0 seasoning, 0 breadcrumbs, 0 crisp or texture. Almost worse. Gave me some kind of disgusting dry & sticky blueberry thing instead of a biscuit. Avoid like the plague, seriously inedible and gross. I have no idea how people could eat this, I wouldn’t feed this garbage to a stray dog. Literally. Threw it in the trash can.

Chicken was great, service was horrible. I’ve met more trustworthy people in New York City. Some tips here: 1. The owner pretends he doesn’t know English but one minute, he’s bantering with his employees, answering customer questions, next minute, he’s mumbling or pretending to speak another language, which leads me to my next point. 2. He always tries to overcharge by a dollar or so. Watch out for that. When you try to explain you were overcharged, all of a sudden, he can’t speak English anymore. 3. The ordering system is awful. They will forget you were there unless you remind them. 4. It’s totally unprofessional here, I think the employees are parolees. Not that it’s a problem, but they don’t take their jobs seriously and it’s annoying.

The chicken is great here but it’s unfortunate it’s badly managed. I came in dressed professionally from work, so maybe the guy thinks I’m a doctor and thinks he can rip me off, I don’t know. Be careful.

Avoid unless you want bad food & horrible service…. Chicken tenders were old, he had just cooked a fresh batch of french fries. But I didn’t get any of those… I almost broke a tooth trying to bite into the fries he gave me. Four guys working but only one guy taking orders & filling them.
