Food was excellent and the sushi is very fresh from the taste. Spent about $70 and for so much food including the Spicy Poke Bowl! Staff was great, greeted me soon as I walked in. Very friendly people. Will be back soon!

What a great experience! I highly recommend coming here for happy hour, as they have so many great options for a good price. The drinks are good, as well as the dishes, so that’s a plus! I will say that our waiter could have been a lot more friendly. His demeanor was a bummer, as he seemed like he was annoyed by our presence. The food was good, but don’t expect the service to be a 10. His co-worker was a lot kinder (and taller, so if you can identify them by height, try to get the taller one)! Off days happen, but at the end of the day, your job is your job.

Ordered the Super Bowl, eel, spicy tuna, and yellow diamond rolls. They have combos for a good price, especially during lunch. Sushi rolls were tasty and the service was great.

This place rocks! If you’d like a wonderful experience & delicious sushi for a fair price, then you won’t go wrong by choosing Minato.

I was greeted by friendly staff & served by a professional team that cares about their customers. The sushi I ate was recommended by the sushi chef. I think it’s called “The Flying Shrimp” and it was scrumptious

I’ll be back for sure!

Seafood is big here in Baltimore, so I wanted to make sure I stopped by a few seafood and sushi restaurants. Minato was one of the highly touted sushi/happy hour restaurants in the city, so it was a no-brainer to go. Also, it was within walking distance from my sisters apartment, so that is an added bonus.
I loved how the restaurant was decorated. It is huge despite what it looks like from outside. The restaurant is long and narrow *pause* and there are, what seems like, an infinite amount of seats there. The ceilings illuminate different colors, and the walls have a way blue pattern. The whole restaurant is extremely pleasing to the eye. From the decor to the color pallete, everything is gorgeous.
The service was great. Our server Cherry was extremely attentive. At one point, my sister expressed displeasure with her drink, and Cherry was quick to make another right away to my sister’s pleasure. I think the server was new, but was knowledgeable and extremely present. The happy hour menu is huge. There are a ton of options to choose from. We had quite the spread including: Edamame, Spring Roll, Shumai, Curry Chicken Dumpling, and the Rolex Sushi Roll. The food was decent, it is not the best sushi I ever had, but for the value, it is well worth it. Their prices for everything are great for your pockets, even the drinks are extremely cheap, which I find is a lost art in the happy hour game. I should mention, however, the drinks are not strong at all, so this isn’t the place to get wasted when you had a bad day at work lol. Perfect hang out place for friend groups or a calm after work date.

Happy hour here has a great selection and actual Happy Hour pricing. Rolls can be purchased for about $7 and drinks are also very affordable.

Pair this with the modern decor and quiet setting and you have a very classy after work spot for cocktails and Sushi.

I had spicy Tuna, Boston, and california rolls. The sushi taste was awesome and looked great.

For my meal I had the Teriyaki Chicken which was really good and a good size portion. This was not on the happy hour menu but was def worth a try.

I had a mango Martini and a cosmo for my drinks. Both drinks were strong as an ox even tho I missed my martini glass.

I will be back for lunch to see about their bento box. Or maybe for happy hour again to try the large assortment of dumplings 😉

Very cool, chill sushi bar. Chill vibes as the restaurant has high ceilings with bright colors and unique art. Intimate tables or spots for groups, there is more seating in the back past the bar. Great happy hour specials on food and drinks. Excellent, chefs kiss menu that is authentic sushi and Japanese food. Delicious. The service was on point. I already can’t wait to go back.

The food is so fresh and flavorful, the sashimi is generous in portion. I tried the oyako don, the curry was warm and home style. I do wish the egg was a more traditional curry egg style but that’s not an easy technique. Overall fantastic experience

Owner was a little rude at first. So much so that the people sitting at the table beside us told us you guys should stay “The food is really good”. We listened to him and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was even better.

The Dog roll was amazing

Got delivery from here today and was very disappointed. The yellowtail roll tasted fishy, the sushi rice was tough, and the chicken teriyaki was also tough and tasted old. I won’t order from here again.
