The bread in the sandwiches was exceptional. So fresh and light. It was a proper sourdough not left for too long until it’s sour like many other places. The chicken breast was pretty dry but the flavor was good. Overall with the cozy atmosphere, thoroughly impressed.

Unassuming basic exterior that hides a charming Cafe inside. Excellent selection of pastries and several breakfast items like eggs & sausage. Choice of coffee beans used by café produce a stronger bitter taste.

Dropped by for an iced tea to go but quickly changed our minds and had to sit down for a bit and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. I like the wooden decor and warm atmosphere. We met Chef Sammy, who was welcoming and nice. He chatted with us a bit. Would definitely come again!

The food is good, the service was friendly, but the coffee tasted like average hotel coffee. We ordered a coffee au lait and it was made with average brewed coffee, not espresso. I guess the moral of this story is always make sure you’re getting what you wanted, but I assumed a coffee shop would have used espresso instead of brewed coffee…

First time here . Beautiful atmosphere! I asked the server to surprise me with a nice hot coffee and iced coffee that she would recommend. Definitely didn’t disappoint. I had iced coffee salted caramel latte and my mother had spiced brown sugar hot coffee and my son had a smoothie . We loved everything and will be back! They also have a wine section I can’t wait to check out !

Nice breakfast this morning. Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and orange juice. Lots of two person tables but four also. Alexandria citizens have free parking.

A cozy café with good food and comfortable seating. We visited for a relaxing breakfast on a Friday morning. It was pretty busy and moderately loud. The music was turned up a bit too much. We ordered Je Suis Belle from the savory crepes section and enjoyed it a lot. The chicken inside was prepared very nicely. We also got Beaucoup from the sweet crepes section. It was fine but lacked something creamy to balance the crepes and fruit. The coffee was very good, and so was the latte. We had a slice of tiramisu, which tasted a bit old but was still pretty good. We had to remind our servers of some parts of our order to get them. Overall a pretty good experience.

It’s around lunch time and I needed a pick-me-upper. I was in the mood for a crepe, and stopped in here for the first time. When you walk in the place it has a nice, relaxed vibe but you may find yourself looking around for a hostess and also walking around looking for the counter. The set up is not obvious and there is no signage guiding you — you just figure it out after a minute or so. ORDERING: The menu is simple, and the ordering process is easy. EATING IN: When you say you’re eating in, you’re told the silverware is behind you. Ok, no prob, I get what I need and sit down. I wait for my food to be delivered to my table. I explained to the host I ordered a smoothie too. I was told I have to pick it up from the bar. Hmm, ok, but I am eating in not taking it to go. He pointed to where the drinks are picked up so I can go get it. Ok, no prob, lesson learned, I have to pick up my own drink. LET’S EAT: It took a little effort to get used to how they do things here, but the food and drink were both delish. If you prefer to take food to go, this place is across the street from the waterfront with sitting options to eat outside.

This place is the heart of the neighborhood, plain and simple. The staff know your name, remember your order, and make you feel like family every time you walk in. The coffee is always fantastic and the pastries and food are honestly some of the best I’ve had anywhere. The space is warm and inviting, and every time I go it’s full of regulars catching up, friends grabbing coffee, and people just soaking in how good it feels to be there. You can tell the people behind this place pour their hearts into it, and it shows in every detail. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go. You won’t regret it.

I had an Americano, avocado toast and a blueberry scone. Everything was excellent. I’m glad I don’t live here because I’d be here every day if I could. If you’re in the area, grab a bike and stop on by. This is comfortable and relaxing place for breakfast before JP hitting the Mount Vernon trail.
