Hidden gem to say the least! It’s hard to say whether the staff or the food is better. Always a warm reception and the food is top tier. I get the Kalbee Tang (soup) at least twice a week, I promise you won’t be disappointed. If you like kimchi too I would recommend having both. One of the best pairings you could ask for. Enjoy!

Lee’s Sushi in Wayne is easily one of my favorite spots to eat. The food is always insanely fresh, the portions are perfect, and everything tastes like it was made with actual care. The sushi rolls are packed, not sloppy, and the shrimp tempura roll goes CRAZY every single time. The staff is super friendly too — they’re always quick, respectful, and on point with every order.
Prices are solid for the quality you get, and the place is clean and comfortable if you want to sit down. Whether I’m grabbing a quick takeout or eating in with friends, the experience is always 10/10. If you’re in Wayne and want sushi that never misses, Lee’s Sushi is the move.

I have been there 2 times over the past 3 or 4 years, and the sushi used to be fresh. Last night I ordered the Wayne roll as usual, expecting it to be delicious but something was off. I kept trying to figure it out, and asked them for a fresher cucumber. It still wasn’t good, but because I was straving, I ate them. Totally my fault for not sending it back (which I usually have no problem doing), but it was clear I was unhappy, and instead of offering something I might like, they came out with some unhealthy imitation crab dish that I turned away. They could’ve taken off the side of avocado that I asked for at that point, hinting it might make the entree taste better. But no, I was charged over 3 dollars for that. The owner tried explaining to my friend that the reason the tuna was darker was because of the cut, but that’s a lie – tuna always turns darker when aging. I would’ve given 2 stars, but I ended up with intestinal cramps that night. Never going back.

I don’t even know where to begin when it comes to Lee’s Sushi! I have been coming here for the last couple of years now and let me just say you are in for such TREAT! I frequent here at least once a week for their sashimi and sushi. Remind you, everything on their menu is INCREDIBLE (it isn’t just sushi). They import some of their sushi straight from Japan and let me just say, it is some of the freshest quality that I’ve found in NJ! Steve is the owner and one of the primary reasons I keep coming back ( Their staff couldn’t be sweeter and I feel right at home every time I step into the restaurant ) You know you’re in for a treat when their staff is as warm and welcoming as they are! If you haven’t been here before or it’s just been a while. RUN, DON’T WALK!
