We got the Jamaican Sampler for our family. It’s an amazing amount of food! Everything was very tasty and my Trinidadian husband said everything tasted very authentic. We got Jerk chicken, stew pork, curry chicken and plantains. We didn’t even have room for the patties.

I enjoyed my meal. The food and the atmosphere are great. I’m glad there is another quality food option in the area. If I lived closer, I’d probably stop in each day they were open to get plantains!

It’s like this: At long last, I have finally found an Island spot worthy of being in my rotation. This place is legit. From the jerk pork to the curry chicken, I was thoroughly impressed with everything. They had the perfect type of person as a waitress and the perfect type of elderly lady back there cooking. Their personalities were exceptional to me and my daughter. This place can run circles around that overrated Pearl Island in Charlottesville. Way to come through, Louisa!! A nice restaurant in a nice part of town. Thank you staff for everything. I WILL return.

Delicious! We had the curry shrimp with yellow rice as take-out tonight and were so happy. We did collards instead of salad and it was delicious mixed right in with the shrimp and rice.

Delicious. Might want to call ahead if you are ordering patties. Made fresh so it takes about 20 minutes, but we’ll worth the wait. Be careful, they are served HOT.

Monet Causion
My first impression was “great reviews ” so we ordered. I called in at 6:30p. I was quoted 7:15p pickup. Got there at 7:20p then waited in the restaurant until 8p. The long wait and great reviews had me thinking this was gonna be worth it but boy was I wrong. I am not 100% sold on this being authentic Jamaican food! The portion was very small and the flavor were bland. I am skeptical of these reviews….
