Sheyla at Q’Bolá was absolutely incredible. From the second we sat down she brought the best energy — attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. She anticipated what we needed before we even asked and made the whole experience feel personal.

Our drinks never went empty, the food came out perfectly timed, and she made great recommendations. You can tell she genuinely cares about the guests and takes pride in what she does.

And shoutout to the bartender too — the drinks were phenomenal. Perfectly balanced, strong in all the right ways, and crafted with care. You can taste the difference when someone knows what they’re doing behind the bar.

Between Sheyla’s service and the amazing cocktails, this was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. We’ll absolutely be back — and we’ll be asking for Sheyla again.

All the employees provided exceptional service and were dressed to the tea. The atmosphere is lively with music and birthday celebrations. The food was amazing and well portioned, I was able to take leftovers. I had never had plantains before, they were absolutely delicious! I ordered the salmon with salad, veggies, and rice. The beverages were also beautifully done and full of flavor. This was an all around great experience for a Friday night. I will definitely be back.

This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Cuban flavors with a vibrant atmosphere.

The service is exceptional—friendly and attentive without being overbearing—and Celine provided a wonderful dining experience.

The bar serves a fantastic mojito made with Bacardi, though they also offer Flor de Caña. While the drinks are well-made, it would be great to see Puerto Rican Havana Club added to the menu as an option for those who prefer a profile closer to traditional Cuban rum.

Food Highlights:
Croquetas de Jamón: Perfectly executed and a great start to the meal.

Vaca Frita: Crispy and flavorful, served with delicious congri and yuca frita. If you aren’t a fan of onions, they are very easy to opt out of as a topping.

Tamal en Cazuela con Masa de Puerco: Hands down the best dish

Arroz con Leche: The rice pudding itself is amazing. It comes with a “twist” of ice cream on top, which might not be for everyone, but the base dessert is top-tier.

Room for Improvement:
Frituras de Malanga: These were a disappointment; they lacked the distinct malanga flavor you expect.

Casquitos de Guayaba con Queso: These were just “okay” and didn’t stand out compared to the main courses.

Atmosphere:
The vibe is lively, the back ground music has the perfect volume. featuring live music on Friday nights and a DJ on Saturdays.

It gets busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation.

Plenty parking, bar seating, outdoor seating

Overall, a fantastic spot for dinner and drinks!

Absolutely incredible!!!! The atmosphere here is easily at the top of some really fun places in RR. From the very beginning when being greeted by the hostess to the ending when you walk out and everyone tells you they look forward to seeing you again, and everything in between… this place simply nails it perfectly.

We came not really sure of what to expect and this is now easily one of our go-to places. Food was amazing, service was great, and simply an awesome experience.

Wow, authentic and delicious! We went in February, a few months after it opened. Everything we had was delicious (croquetas, yuca frita, pork belly, ropa vieja, Cubano sandwich, traditional mojito). Very well staffed for such a young restaurant, not their first. And great music too!

We had such a great experience at Q Bola! Carlos, our waiter, took great care of us and gave spot-on recommendations. We kicked off the meal with Cuban coffee and a refreshing maracuyá mojito, plus yuca frita and croquetas de jamón—so good! For our main plates, we tried the ropa vieja and the Cuban sandwich, both full of flavor and cooked perfectly. And dessert was the perfect ending. If you go, PLEASE try the arroz con leche de coco… it’s heavenly. Thank you to Carlos and the whole Q Bola team for making our visit memorable!

Fantastic remodel of the previous restaurant. Great outdoor dining area weather permitting. The food was great. Cuban cuisine is a bit different than what you’re used to but with familiar ingredients. Very tasty. There were plenty of wait persons so we only shared one with another table. A little bit tricky to get to ( one direction) but well worth it. Go.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

Allow me to start by saying — this is exactly the kind of restaurant North Austin has been needing! The location is perfect, and from the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, who immediately accommodated our party of seven (four adults and three kids ages 10, 8, and 5).

Our server, Celine, welcomed us with a bright smile and made us feel right at home from the start. Her service throughout the evening was excellent — attentive, friendly, and professional.

We began with several appetizers (as seen in my photos) and ordered four mojitos. The presentation was beautiful, and everything tasted great. The only minor issue was that the tostones arrived a bit cold, but the rest of the appetizers were spot on.

For our main course, I was unfortunately disappointed to learn that the restaurant did not offer black beans (FRIJOLES NEGROS) — a key element in Cuban cuisine. A Cuban restaurant without black beans feels like a Mexican restaurant without tortillas. Because of that, I had to deduct one star from the food rating.

On a positive note, Celine recommended the lamb, which turned out to be excellent — tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We ended the meal with a few desserts, all fresh and delicious, followed by a classic cafecito with an impressive presentation and spot-on flavor.

Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience with great service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back and will gladly recommend this restaurant to my friends — just please fix the “no black beans” situation

The food was absolutely immaculate and plates very beautifully. The shrimp dish was so saucy and cooked al dente. I paired it with rice and plantain which I loved because they were ripe. I also thought the virgin puns colada was well crafted, I loved the little pineapple accent and umbrella. The atmosphere is super cute! The hut makes it feel like you’re on a cruise! It’s a great week day after work spot. They also have outside seating for a nice day. Last but not least, service was absolutely sublime!!! And yes please get the yuka! Crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. 5/5!! Well done!

The food is amazing!!! Every taste reminds me of Miami!!! The food took awhile to come out, but otherwise a really great experience! There was also a woman singing iconic Latin songs out in the patio, which really elevated the whole ambience!
