Danny’s is an amazing place. They always serve amazing Hoagies. Their hoagies are so crispy warm and delicious. They also have amazing pizza, I have only had their pepperoni but it was great. The staff is always really kind and gets you your food quickly. The building is also really clean and friendly.

Danny’s Pizza and Hoagies…
A true Pittsburgh original tucked in the South Hills — Danny’s has been serving up the best hoagies around for 65 years and counting! Family-owned and full of legacy, this no-frills pizza & hoagie shop has absolutely mastered the classics. Their oven-baked hoagies? UNREAL. Fresh bread, perfectly sliced meats & veggies, and that signature hoagie dressing that locals swear by. Pizza? Made to perfection. Calzones? A newer addition, but already a fan favorite. Call ahead, order online, or pop in for takeout — Danny’s keeps it simple and delicious.
A South Hills staple — simple, sweet, and packed with flavor. Highly recommend!

They have really good Hoagies. I had the Cheesesteak Hoagie and it was really loaded and really good. We also had the Italian which wasn’t bad but not great try to slice of their square pizza but did not really like it. Have had their whole round Pizza which was pretty good

I don’t know how to describe this place other than it’s a throwback to some time during the steel mill heyday’s of this area.
LOUD.
REALLY LOUD.
Even when you’re standing at the counter to order, they are yelling.
I ordered a meatball hoagie which was so salty it was impossible to taste the meatballs at all. It was a friggin mess to eat; what I was able to choke down.
Looks like one of the numerous male teenage workers had a wet dream on the end of it. (see attached photo)
Only guys work there and most under the age of 18 which seems a little…peculiar.
Did I mention how loud they are, oh right, I did.
There’s a credit card service fee which is the only thing about them that was quiet because they don’t mention it.
The dining room needs to be power washed, twice.

At 68, I’ve eaten several hoagies. Danny’s is the best I’ve ever had. I live on the other side of town and still travel there. No one can compare their flavor and texture! Luv them!!

Danny’s (and then also Freddie’s in the 70s) was THE place to go for THE best pizza. In high school I worked at Beto’s Pizza which was located a hundred feet north of Danny’s and come Friday and Saturday nights they would do twice the business (they had better sauce) with the crowds after high school games and then the drive-in theater crowd next door. I went back to Danny’s when visiting last fall and the hoagies are STILL out of this world.

Smells delicious AF as soon as you walk inside. I was greeted by a friendly female employee. My hoagie, Italian, Was delicious and flavorful. Danny’s has consistently held the title of my favorite Italian hoagie. I did not know that they offered slices so I got a slice of extra cheese and it was delicious. The crust was light and airy. Not overly filling did not leave me feeling guilty.

Last Italian hoagie I bought about a month ago was terrible. Wrapped in a plastic bag it all fell apart into a big greasy sloppy overcooked mess. Tasted terrible and imo was cooked twice because the bun was a dark reddish brown as if they had an extra half hoagie that went unsold so they cooked it twice, purposely. 2x in a row I’ve had terrible food. Wax paper is not a good wrapper at all. Used to be a great place for good food but I’m not so sure anymore. Tired of paying my hard earned money for garbage food.
