A true Pittsburgh original tucked in the South Hills — Danny’s has been serving up the best hoagies around for 65 years and counting! Family-owned and full of legacy, this no-frills pizza & hoagie shop has absolutely mastered the classics. Their oven-baked hoagies? UNREAL. Fresh bread, perfectly sliced meats & veggies, and that signature hoagie dressing that locals swear by. Pizza? Made to perfection. Calzones? A newer addition, but already a fan favorite. Call ahead, order online, or pop in for takeout — Danny’s keeps it simple and delicious.
A South Hills staple — simple, sweet, and packed with flavor. Highly recommend!
LOUD.
REALLY LOUD.
Even when you’re standing at the counter to order, they are yelling.
I ordered a meatball hoagie which was so salty it was impossible to taste the meatballs at all. It was a friggin mess to eat; what I was able to choke down.
Looks like one of the numerous male teenage workers had a wet dream on the end of it. (see attached photo)
Only guys work there and most under the age of 18 which seems a little…peculiar.
Did I mention how loud they are, oh right, I did.
There’s a credit card service fee which is the only thing about them that was quiet because they don’t mention it.
The dining room needs to be power washed, twice.
