Bought a bowl earlier today and a bobby pin turned out when I mixed it then I went back to complain and request a refund and when I showed the bowl to one of the workers her eyes widened & she immediately touched her hair as if it might’ve been hers & she was the one who made my bowl, then another worker came up and they both acted like they were clueless how a BOBBY PIN turned up in my food. Disgusting, and no cleanliness whatsoever.

Here I am, with my good buddy ol pal driving home from South Carolina. We had just experienced a glorious week on a golf trip before the 4th of July back in 2024. The vibes were high and we intended to keep it that way. We were on our way back to Rhode Island and needed some nourishment for the rest of the ride home (we both did not sleep or stop except to get gas and piss). This was the only true stop of our 16 hour drive.
Well, as passenger it was my duty to find us food. This chipotle right off 95 seemed to be a solid option. We walked in on that beautiful late June night, sun just setting, and ordered it up. These chipotle bowls were the most impressive thing we’ve ever laid our eyes on. It was great service, fresh, and hit the spot. I mean when you think chipotle, this is the stuff you dream of. Freshly made guac, crispy chicken, nice fluffy rice. I mean this was just a show stopper. We discussed briefly how excellent they were and went on our way and made it back home that night/morning.
Here we are fast forwarding to 2026, still talking about these bowls. Life hasn’t been the same whatsoever. We had to see if this place was still kicking. We have no idea how this place is only 3.9 stars. If I could give it 10/5 I would. We both have dreams about these bowls and no Chipotle in the US has compared. Although they are all terrific, this one just did the trick. We’ll never forget you chipotle of Delaware.

This Chipotle location in Newark, DE has very professional staff members that handle customers order with accuracy and care. The staff work very fast paced and work well together. The food was delicious but a little pricey, in my opinion. Keep up the good work

The food was delicious. The staff were very friendly. They had nice smiles on their faces while making our order and friendly treatment with us. The we ordered rice and black beans bowl. The soda machine was out of order but we bought lemonade it was nice.

Undercook rice is NOT safe to eat. I complained but they didn’t seem to care, which is pretty scary. I can tell they were having a bad day, so me complaining didn’t make them happy. I only ate the meat and veggy, but left the rice behind. The rice came from a full container, Not from the bottom. The rice wasnt even seasoned. They did offer a new batch, which I took home to eat in case I need to recook it. The bad batch was already served to the public . Never coming to this location ever. I did give 4 stars to a clean bathroom. The chipotle workers had a rough day today But it does not excuse the poor service and food quality. Need people who can uphold Chipotle standards when it is busy.

We had made an online order there and were waiting inside for the food.
As soon as we received our burrito bowl, we were shocked to see such huge quantity of everything.
The girl who prepared our food was very nice and we are very thankful to her for the quantity of food that we got. Thank You so much once again.

Found Promise
Coming here for a few years but in the past few months the service and food quality has noticeably declined. Lately there’s been a new set of staff who very much lack customer service skills. Additionally the food really doesn’t have the quintessential Chipotle taste. The last two times after coming home and opening my food the meats were so burnt I had to discard. It’s also clear children of staff are there in the seated area during their shift (observed this twice).
Hoping a change (or retraining) in personnel comes soon. Until then I’ll be visiting a different location.

I liked the food very much. All ingredients are freshly prepared. Clean ambience and 25+ capacity. The restroom looks very neat. I would recommend this store to everyone but any have i will visit one more and going to keep watching the same above all is consistent or not. I have attached the picture of food for reference.

Several things wrong this visit. Placed an online order, wasn’t ready at the scheduled pickup time. Had to wait several minutes for the order to be ready. Then they did not have the chimichurri sauce that I already paid for online but she substituted queso which was acceptable. But the worst part of the entire thing was when we got home to eat our food it was discovered that all of the rice in all 3 meals had copius amounts of salt not even mixed in, like someone had dumped salt into the rice, didn’t mix it in, and then scooped the salt and rice into our bowls. Literally got a mouthful of salt with the spoonful of rice. Food unedible and too far and inconvenient to run back to ask for a replacement or refund. Not happy and very dissatisfied.
