Fish tacos were a hit.
I’d definitely come back if I’m riding around the area again.
40 minutes have gone past, no sign of our server while other tables are getting their drinks and even food after they placed their order later. One of us finally flagged down our server for drinks, which she returned a few minutes after with them but no sign of food.
50 minutes later, we informed our server after flagging down once again that we’ll pay for drinks and cancel food that didn’t show up as we need to catch our concert. Lo and behold, our server walks towards the kitchen, gets into some kind of verbal spat before another person, presumably the manager walked to our table to inform us that our food is being plated now. When we asked to explain why other tables nearby not only received their food, but also two rounds of drinks, the manager kept repeating that the kitchen is busy. That didn’t explain our question, and while the manager threatened to call cops for breach of contract on food that we have yet to see after 1 hour, plating is still not done as it never showed up.
We paid for our drinks and the manager informed us to never return.
Trust me, even if this phantom food was the most amazing thing, I would not return with a combination of inattentive server and arrogant manager who doubled down on threat instead of acknowledging mistake.
We were a little disappointed a few weeks ago when they were closed and left a note on the door saying they were closed for a few days. They have to make sure next time they update the website bc it was unfortunate we were hungry and couldn’t order anything. BUT MOVING ON!!!
The Beet Salad with Bibb Lettuce is a salad you have to eat with the addition of a fork. I would’ve liked the lettuce to have been cut in smaller ribbons potentially. It was a little difficult to include a piece of everything without the assistance of a knife. It was extremely flavorful with the goat cheese and balsamic complementing the golden beets well. I enjoyed it.
The ShoeString fries with Parm Truffle Oil were spot on. I ask for their bbq sauce that reminds me of a more tangy sweet n sour sauce. I’m sure the togarashi option would also be a hit. I keep that seasoning in my cabinet. The Brussel sprouts are good. The Mac n Cheese is nothing special. I feel they could’ve seasoned the mornay sauce a little bit more.
I am a hard cider aficionado and the cider I tried was DELICIOUS. It was spiced I believe and not to sweet but light crisp and subtle. I had one on my own and then my husband and I split one. He also had a 1911 hard cider that didn’t do anything for me.
The Dirty Truth pizza was very good. I think it could do without the arugula on top. The Aged White Cheddar and Roasted Garlic are the clear winners here.
Try this place for some nice local fare and flare. This restaurant will be added to my rotation of small delightful local favorites.
Eat and drink here if you get a chance! Highly recommended!!
