What a wonderful spot in Willoughby! The efficient service was one of my favorite things about First Watch. You’re greeted quickly, with a smile, sat at a table with fresh, clean, coffee mugs read for a wonderfully hot cup of coffee. When served drinks they leave the pitcher of water, and their pitcher of coffee. No flagging down a server when you run out, and no stress on the server to keep your cups full. The server was so helpful in navigating the menu, and super friendly. When the food arrived, you could tell immediately that they serve nothing but fresh ingredients and take care in plating each dish. Watching other tables receive their food, the dishes are consistent and delicious. The vegetables are crunchy and fresh, the home fries perfectly cooked. I got their seasonal Chimichurri Steak and Eggs and the steak was cooked beautifully and seasoned to perfection. My partner got their B.E.C which had a wonderful balance of spice and fresh ingredients. Lastly, we both got one of their brunch cocktails which were served in a bottle and poured at the table, with the remainder left for us. Both were fresh, and delicious! For a Sunday morning the wait to get a table was acceptable for a party of 7. It was a “perk” that there was a coffee urn to help yourself to a small cup of coffee while waiting. Everyone in our party enjoyed there selections. My only negative was when I asked if I could have my seasoned potatoes without onion and was told no. Also, 3 in the party asked for their potatoes to be crispy and were told yes, but, they came the same as everyone else’s. My traditional order was nothing to brag about. Toast was not buttered very much, over medium eggs were small but cooked properly, bacon was ok. I’m not a fan of onion so potatoes were not much to say about. I left hungry, and only 1 in our party took a small amount home with them. Tables and silverware seemed clean. All orders that contained toast also came with a large condiment cup that was full of a jelly that you had no choice of flavor. It seemed to be there to fill the plate so you thought you had more food on it than was actually there.

This restaurant is always welcoming and clean when I visit. The staff is really nice and the food is always so fresh and delicious. Everything I have tried so far has been really good, clean and healthy food. Definitely will visit continually. Yum!

Poor treatment ruined it all: Hadn’t eaten at FW in over 15 years, but I visited FW in Virginia during the holidays and the food and service was so wonderful that I decided to visit my neighborhood FW in Altamonte Springs today. The person that brought my food handed it to me from across the table, I did not take it, so he gave it to the person that I was with to hand to me. This person was either not taught how this should be done, or just didn’t care to treat us the way that we should be treat in that setting. I was taught this etiquette as a child and practiced it as a waitress decades ago and whenever I’m serving food at a table. I felt very disrespected and could not enjoy the food. I expressed this to our server, Kaite, when she asked about the food, which had just gotten there, so we had no time to taste. (This was obvious if she’d looked at our plates or was being attentive). She said she was sorry. However, it appears that she didn’t care about our experience there, since she brought our bill without asking if we wanted anything else. (I planned to order ice cream to go, as the purchase supports AP Children’s Hospital). There were more instances of poor or lack of service from her.

Went for breakfast. Great food, and service. Prices…? Not so cheap. But if you order standard b’fast instead of eggs Benedict (or similar) it would be less expensive. Overall, I recommend the establishment. Nice interior also.

A group from our church celebrated a sweet friend’s birthday at First Watch in Willoughby during one of their busiest times. Even after several changes to our reservation, Adele, the manager, was incredibly patient and accommodating. Our server, Hannah W., and the entire staff were friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful, and the service made our luncheon extra special. Highly recommend!
