We sampled many of the different meats and vegetables available. Everything was fresh and the portions were generous. The broth had very good flavor. The dipping sauce.
Very from mild to spicy. It was our first experiment here, and we are definitely going back.

Super tasty and great to eat and socialize! Theres a lot of option and the lamb pieces are tasty! They also have a great selection on beef. The broth taste good. Bring friends and families. The noise wasn’t too loud and there’s great exhausts so you don’t smell too much food.

Eating here was a fun and exciting experience. There are so many different foods to try and endless variations to can put together.

The bone broth was amazing and beautiful before adding anything.

And the service was out of this world, speedy and so friendly. The server explained to use how to do everything since it was out first time here. We will definitely be enjoying this again and you should too!

Great place for hot pot! The meat is fresh, and the soup base has great flavor—rich and satisfying. I like the sour cabbage and the spicy soup base. The ingredients are high quality. Some marinated meats are salty, so keep that in mind. The restaurant is clean, and the service is generally friendly, though it can get busy. This is AYCE hot pot with pricing $22.99 for lunch per adult, $31.99 for dinner. The cotton candy machine is still broken. The only downside is the $1.99 charge for the sauce bar, which feels a bit unnecessary, but overall, it’s a solid spot for a delicious meal!

The food was delicious and I haven’t been to a hot pot before. Even though it was busy everything was well stocked. Seating was great. The music wasn’t overwhelming and it was an overall pleasant experience. The amount of food you get for the price was perfect. Wagyu, beef and garlic, prawns, crawdads, pumpkins! Literally so many options! The staff was great, served us quickly and explained things well. Whenever we needed anything they were so quick to accommodate. Can’t wait to find another reason to come back out here again!

Sacramento Carnivore’s Paradise! Incredible Broth & Top-Notch Meat – $29 AYCE?!

Seriously impressed with this spot! If you’re craving **authentic hot pot**, look no further. The star of the show is definitely their **daily-made herbal bone broth**. The owner proudly mentioned it’s simmered fresh every day, and you can *absolutely* taste the difference. The aroma is incredible, and the flavor is so rich and savory that I found myself happily sipping it straight from the spoon!

Here’s the real kicker: **the meat quality is phenomenal**. We tried both the lamb and beef, and they were honestly **some of the best cuts I’ve had in Sacramento for hot pot**. They were so flavorful and tender that **I barely touched my dipping sauce** – the broth enhanced the natural taste perfectly. A true meat lover’s (carnivore’s!) dream.

The **AYCE (All-You-Can-Eat) selection is fantastic**, with a huge variety of items to choose from beyond the amazing meats. And the unbelievable part? It’s only **$29 per person**! For this level of quality – the exquisite broth, the premium meat, and the extensive spread – that price feels like an absolute steal.

**Final verdict: HIGHLY recommend.** Amazing broth, exceptional meat quality, tons of options, and incredible value. My new go-to for hot pot in Sac!

I’ve been lucky enough to try a lot of Hot Pot places around the world and glad to say Happy Lamb is right up there with the best. They have very reasonable prices and a great selection of meats and vegetables to choose from. Their broth is excellent and flavorful (we tried the split pot with original and spicy).

The meats are high quality and fresh and you order them from the staff, while you can go to a buffet for the vegetables, seafood, appetizers, and items like tofu. There is a self-serve soft-drink dispenser and a good dipping sauce bar. I’d maybe ding them a little for not having as many sauce ingredient options as some places but the difference is small. They did make sure that the more popular ingredients were plentiful and the bar was kept pretty clean.

There is a small selection of desserts and even a cotton candy machine. The staff was very friendly and attentive and even though the restaurant was nearly full we never had to wait much.

Parking is good and I highly recommend this place!

We love love happy lamb and go to the Dublin location almost every week. On our way back from Tahoe decided to try out the sac location but were disappointed and probably will not be returning.
Maybe because it’s a weekend but service was a bit slower, albeit the servers were very nice. Ordered two orders of fish balls, only received one. Took forever to order second round of meat after unsuccessfully waving down the server. However our main issue is dessert. No ice cream machine, no problem. But when we went to get some sesame balls and fried gluten bread at 830, they were completely out and we were told the kitchen was closed. I really wonder what time their kitchen closes if the restaurant doesn’t close until 930? No heads up for last.
A server did come over to tell us they would make some fresh ones for us which was nice but we had to leave by then.

Second time trying Happy Lamb (the first time was in Austin) – and I prefer this branch because of the booths, which makes the hotpot experience more private! The one in Austin has a pretty open layout and too cramped as if I was sharing a table with strangers. The ambiance was also terrible there as they’re blasting EDM.

We got the premium meats and didn’t disappoint – wish we could’ve gotten at least two servings of the “wagyu” – there were three of us and they limit one serving per two people.

I’m only rating the hotpot and the sides. I highly recommend getting the half and half – the best of both worlds! The white broth is probably the best I’ve had and I’ve been to several countries in Asia (although the selection of seafood etc is better there). Don’t sleep on the egg noodles, but ensure you don’t overcook it!

The cream puffs and other desserts were terrible though – the ice cream was decent. I would definitely go back here
