I’m a huge fan of Thai food and this place is hands down my favorite in the area (and I’ve been to quite a number of Thai places.) Their Pad Thai is fantastic and the Red Curry is delicious! As a bonus, the staff have always been super accommodating and friendly; they will remake a dish if you are allergic to something or have dietary restrictions so that you can still eat it. They make delicious food and really just want you to enjoy it.

Food is amazing. The spicy dishes are spiced just enough to still deliver that authentic Thai flavor and not overpower the actual taste of the food. Service is friendly and rapid. Small but comfortable.

Very nice atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. The food was great! Good portions, good flavor. We ordered two entrees, vegetables and an appetizer for three people, and took some home.

Everything my family has ordered here has been excellent every time we’ve visited. The service is always great and they’ve been very accommodating our dietary needs (they made red curry and kapraw eggplant from scratch with no added sugar… And it was delicious).

My long time favorite Thai restaurant in Lafayette changed hands and the food was not as good, so I have been looking for a new place, when someone recommended Savanh. It’s a little hard to find because its behind the main places at the 1910 Oak Park Blvd. strip mall. You have to either know where it is or look for it. It is across from the back of Kobe Japan. I have been in this strip mall dozens of times and never noticed it, in spite of the fact that it has been there for 30 years! The room was very cozy, warm, neat and clean. It was nicely decorated with paintings by local artists, especially Renee Guillory. It is owned and staffed by a Laotian family who were very welcoming and hospitable. One of our waiters was the third generation working there. The other was a woman who was like part of the family for decades. I really was in the mood for something slurpy that was so hot it blew my head off so I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp, extra spicy. It was exactly right. Most people would not have been able to handle the heat so don’t order extra spicy unless you really mean it. Additionally we ordered the Spicy Fried Calamari, Pad Thai and Yellow Curry with plain rice. The fried calamari was fried in garlic and chili. I will definitely order this again. I tasted the Pad Thai and it was good. I’m not a big fan of yellow curry but it was OK. I would not order it again. The rice was Jasmine as far as I could tell and it was perfectly cooked. I will definitely be going back soon. Oh. right. The prices were really fair. Thank you all for your great hospitality and food.

We come here often because they have great food, friendly service and good prices. The menu has favorites for our whole family including great BBQ pork and chicken, Pad Thai and all of the currys. And don’t forget about appetizers and wonton soup! Yum!

Sad news, this place is closing as of October 31, 2019! It is supposed to reopen as a Filipino Fusion. In the interim their chef is going to work at their “sister” restaurant in Concord Stix.

This is a gem! Best Thai food I’ve ever had. The pad Thai is super unique and delicious and I’d also recommend basil kapraw. Get the Thai tea if you love coffee. Mae was super friendly and great server!
