I am usually not a big fan of BBQ places in the Dakotas but was talked into giving this place a try. The staff were very friendly and my party was sat immediately. The menu was very robust with lots of options. The food is on the expensive side but you do get good portions. I would like to have gotten more homemade chips for the price. The mac and cheese tasted like they left out the cheese completely so all you had was noodles. I think it was better than average for a BBQ place in the area.

My husband and I wanted to eat here prior to them moving to their new location but I’m so glad we waited! Their new location honestly is amazing, the atmosphere and flow was pretty nice. The staff was very welcoming and the food came quick! We ordered the Mac and cheese bites, fried pickles, pulled pork Sammy, and the bones smokehouse burger. All the food was delicious, definitely on the larger side so order less than you think you’ll eat! My only complaint was that the baked beans were more on the rustic side than traditional, and the bbq sauce is a bit different but not bad at all. My husband loved his burger and the waffle fries were delicious. We definitely will be coming back!

I visited this place while visiting Minot for business. Has my doubts but the certainly went the opposite when I tried. Fish plate was GREAT, amazing taste and combination. Totally reccomend it!

We love to try different restaurants while we’re traveling. So happy we discovered Bone’s BBQ. We had to wait a few minutes before being seated so the team could get caught up. That was fine and we appreciated the honesty.
We sat in a booth and our order was taken right away. We ordered water, then saw an interesting drink on the menu and tried the chocolate orange daiquiri.
For dinner we shared the brisket plate with two sides-bbq baked beans and macaroni and cheese. Also ordered an extra side of coleslaw after sampling it. And we ordered an extra cornbread muffin.
The food was excellent and the brisket was a generous portion. It was tender and flavorful, they also have bbq sauces to select from at the table. The bbq baked beans were not spicy or over bbq tasting. Just right for us! The macaroni and cheese is very basic but creamy and good! 🙂 The cornbread was really good too.
They brought our food out on two plates.
Since we shared dinner…we found room to share dessert. We had the peach cobbler which was warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
Good thing we’re on a trip and not counting calories tonight. I can workout tomorrow! We appreciated the excellent food, service and cleanliness of Bone’s restaurant. Prices seemed reasonable for great bbq. It was plenty of food! We spent $50 for a shared drink, dinner, dessert and tip.

Got the brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. The service was okay, it would probably be better if I dined earlier in the night. Just took a bit long to place my order. The brisket was pretty good. The Mac and cheese was very disappointing as it was bland and dry.

I tried the smoked wings and the ribs. I passed on their signature sauce as it’s a ketchup based sauce and I don’t care for ketchup based bbq sauces.
The wings were quite dry, the flavor was ok. I think they smoke them earlier in the day and fry them before serving.
The ribs were tender and juicy, but even requesting no sauce the still have a sweet glaze on them.
For three ribs and 6 wings, no sides it was $20, a little much for what you get at lunch.

Ordered Trio with sausage, pulled pork, and ribs:
Bbq sauce was good
Sausage was good.
Pulled pork had no flavor.
Ribs were very dry and hard, like eating steakbites jerky. Either very overcooked, or frozen and reheated a couple times. Also not much flavor.
Sides were missing.
Loaded waffle nachos with pulled pork:
Good amount of meat.
Lots of pico.
Slaw was couple pieces of red cabbage and was overpowered by the pico.
No cheese sauce so was dry.
In summary:
Only the sausage and bbq sauce were good.
Waffle nachos probably good with cheese.
Pulled pork ok with sauce.
Ribs bad. Which is especially annoying since you have to pay $6 extra for them.
Sides MIA.

The food was great! But the service was alright as they forgot part of my table’s order and mildly checked on us as a other waiter had to help us, the setting was good for a BBQ restaurant, I would possibly recommend because of our service

Yum we do love our barbecue. It was great loss to choose from the nachos so yummy and peppers and brisket so so good. The wedding staff was amazing and helpful and happy. It’s a great place. I totally go back again again and again.
