I’m sorry to say that even though this food is DELICIOUS, this grand opening left us feeling…way less than grand. Our favorite Caribbean restaurant reopened in Camarillo and we couldn’t be more thrilled to support but overall disappointed in the execution, unfortunately.
One, there is no signage to indicate that Caribbean Haven is anywhere at this new location leaving customers and delivery workers alike confused on where to locate pick up.
Two, communication is non existent with the customers. Clearly, it seems there is a big disconnect with that online and in person.
Third, we were missing items in our order. Things run out. We get it. There is no option for a refund on the site despite being directed there, and we were offered no alternatives so we paid for food we did not receive.
Overall, just disappointed and hope this can be turned around because I really want this business to succeed.

In 2025, I was sad to see Caribbean Haven close its doors in Ventura. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Caribbean and Filipino food that can be found nowhere else in Ventura County.
Today I was delighted to learn that they reopened in Camarillo, and I jumped at the opportunity to order from their restaurant again.
It’s important to note that, at least currently, they only offer food pick up rather than dine in. I know that for some this could be seen as inconvenient, but I promise the food is well worth it. Be sure to order in advance.
I’ll admit their current location isn’t the easiest to find, but I read in the VC Star that they might have signage in the future. When you see a gated parking lot with food trucks in the parking spaces, you’ll know you’ve come to the right place. Ring the doorbell on the northeast-hand side of the grey building to pickup your food.
The food was as delicious, and the portions as generous, as I remembered.
