Delicious all around. Freshly made. Service was good but may need to use your Google translate. Menu has pictures and is both in English and Spanish. We had tacos, fried fish with plantains and fries, and chorizo. Definitely recommend

Cazuela de Mariscos: Not bad but a little watery
Bandeja Paisa: The chicharrón is massive, though most of it is too hard or fatty to eat. The meaty part is good.
I noticed this place fills up later at night, so I think it’s authentic, or at least one of the preferred spots among hispanic locals after work.

El Portal’s food was beautifully prepared and as delicious as I could wish for. My choices of quesadillas and shrimp-with-vegetable soup were outstanding. The quality of the dishes is 5-star for sure!

If you guys like “Pollo con tajadas” , This is not the place for it , not sure about the other food but me and my cousin got the pollo con tajadas and the favor was not good at all , and not even talking about the chicken , they were not even chicken parts as usually is they were just pieces of chicken breast , and you can feel it , the chicken was hard and old , I think they reheat it , and the pieces looked like they were left overs from someone else . Not good , I’m
Not coming back to this place .

I was referred by a nurse colleague that work with me. I ordered the red snapper fried with steam potatoes , vegetables, burrito. I was enjoying the fish until I saw that the fish head was not cleaned properly ,the fish gill was fried I was disgusted. Other than that. The food was hot and prepared properly.

I have been to Cafe and Canela, a few hundred feet away, and they offer “Noches” quality food at a fraction of the cost. This substandard joint, in contrast, offers substandard stale food, no quality, at the same price as the famous “Noches” franchise. Bad, bad, horrific food. For starters, as you walk into the place you go into what appears to be a residence, there are two doors (both cheap “barrio” residence doors, feels like walking into a destitute person’s home). I ordered a Bandeja Paisa take out. When I went to pay, I noticed that my packaged take out order was A LOT smaller than the one Cafe y Canelas would give me, that was not a good sign. When I told the cashier I would pay by credit card, she took out a cheap calculator and tallied the total – almost 17 dollars for Christ’s sake. Left them 0 tip, as I knew what to expect. Sure enough, I opened the package at home and noticed, first, that there was no avocado. There were two slices of plaintains that you could barely see, a cold beaten and horrific looking slice of steak which weighed maybe one ounce, and the chicharones had very little meat, about one quarter of the meat you’d find in Cafe and Canelas or Noches chicharones. As I ate, I felt I was eating cooked paper, no flavor. Still hungry after I finished this horrific ordeal. These people are crooks, above their head, how dare them offer fake food at such a high price. NOT RECOMMENDED. Go to Cafe and Canelas or Noches or eat paper instead.

I been going to place since I been a child. The service is not the same. They are less attentive to their orders. The person is staff can’t even make a decision even though she is on duty. We had issue with order through Uber and she had to call the manager over the phone. The manager Alfonso is less help than the manager on duty. If they want to be open for further future I hope they change a lot about the restaurant.

Food is always good here. Service is solid. Prices seem to have gone up and that is why I’m subtracting a star for. Highly recommended if you like Colombian food.
