We stopped in for takeout on a cross country drive. Since it had only been open a few months, Campesino doesn’t really show up in online searches yet, and there didn’t seem to be an available menu pictured. Screen shots incl here for future reference.
We ordered the big burrito and the chicken fajitas. The order took less than ten minutes, and the food was well packed and traveled well down the road to our hotel.
Both meals had a good amount of veggies (onion, pepper) and the meat was lean and well cooked. Portions were generous; the fajitas came with three tortillas and more chicken than one person can eat.
Although we didn’t eat in, the restaurant space looked comfortable and clean. Definitely worth considering Campesino if you’re in the mode for Mexican while in Abingdon.

This place was soooooo good! The staff was really nice. Everything was really clean. 10/10 would eat here again! The food came out quick and we could tell it was fresh. We met the owner on the way out and he was very personal and nice. I definitely suggest coming here if your in town.

Street parking. Indoor and outdoor patio. The patio is semi covered so it’s ok if it’s raining. Excellent authentic Mexican food. Big menu.

Very good food, attentive staff, good atmosphere, clean. If the food is not spicy enough for you,, they have several hot sauces you can add to flavor to your taste.

The food was great and reasonably priced. The staff was very nice. The outdoor seating area is really nice. I got the chicken fajita nachos which were great, and added their fantastic guacamole, highly recommend! My wife had the Mexican cheese steak, which was well seasoned, she said it was really good!

Great place for a kickback relaxed lunch outside on the patio. It was a beautiful day. Enjoyed a couple of beers while we waited for our lunch. It was only one person working and we were not in a hurry so it was fine. The food was good and hot and highly recommended coming here again.
