I ordered fried rice combination and the supposed happy family that is a big plate and my total was 53$ and I received 10$ worth of food, I call the restaurant to make sure they give me the right amount of food and they said that is the biggest size they have. This is insane I would stacked the photos so you can see the whole food it’s like to diner plates that’s it a robbery. 52$ worth of Chinese food is definitely this.

LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! My girls, as per the usual, ordered the wonton soup, which was a bomb, as it always was. The girls also got the pu pu platter, which no it’s not a platter of you know what, it’s a delicious platter with real fire that contains shrimp which my kids loved because if you’ve ever read our reviews, they LOVE shrimp . And the platter also had crab rangoons, which was actually really good, so don’t believe the other reviews. Those might have been ordered on a bad coincidence day. Anyways, I also ordered the beef schezchuan, which was really good as rain! We also chomped down the sweet and sour chicken with some edamame’s! We also ordered a large egg drop soup and a large side of fried rice and white rice with some orange chicken with some beef and broccoli as well. My kids also wanted the sesame chicken, which we ordered a large size. I also ordered the pork dish, and it felt great! As good as the sun! We also ordered about 2 more dishes that I forgot the name, but it was really good!
After the food, we felt really full, which was strange because we have never felt so full. We also saw an employee chopping fresh green beans in a liquor basket,
All in all, would recommend!

It has been a long time since I had been to this restaurant. The food was good and portions were large. The poo poo platter appetizer looked really neat at the tables next to us. Open flames are always fun.

Our order was for take out. Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere in the restaurant. It’s very popular and offers a wide variety of choices. My personal downfall here is the prices, however my conversations with other people are very upbeat and the portions are reasonable for cost. If you like spice, ambience, and attentive friendly service… you should give it try…it might just become a favorite. Popular, busy, and delicious. (I checked Google to find a quieter time to check it out. Take-out is popular.)

The food is definitely not worth the price they’re charging! It was just OK. I was expecting much better food for my money. The soup you can just do better at home yourself dumplings are not actually dumplings, but potstickers I would not recommend this place especially for the money….

I don’t normally leave long reviews, but Szechuan Restaurant Cityview absolutely deserves the recognition. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a subtle, elegant ambiance that makes it perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy date night. It’s tucked into the Cityview area in Fort Worth, and if you haven’t been yet—consider this your sign to go.

Let’s talk food—because that’s where this place shines. The menu is an authentic tribute to traditional Szechuan cuisine. Every dish is crafted with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of heat to make your taste buds dance without overwhelming them. I highly recommend the Dry Fried Green Beans—perfectly blistered and loaded with umami. The Mapo Tofu is hands-down the best I’ve had outside of China. It’s silky, spicy, and packed with that deep, savory Szechuan flavor that keeps you going back for more.

Their Twice Cooked Pork and Dan Dan Noodles are must-orders too. The pork melts in your mouth with a smoky char, and the noodles are perfectly chewy, with a chili oil that’s aromatic and rich. If you like spicy food, this is paradise. If you don’t, they’ll gladly tone it down for you. The spice level is customizable, and the staff is always happy to explain dishes to make sure you’re comfortable.

Speaking of service, the team here is attentive and knowledgeable. They truly care about your dining experience and make great recommendations if you’re unfamiliar with the menu. They’re quick, friendly, and efficient without ever making you feel rushed.

Portions are generous, prices are fair, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re dining in or ordering takeout, Szechuan Restaurant Cityview is consistently excellent.

To top it off, the restaurant is always spotless, with a calm, clean, and inviting atmosphere. Plenty of parking, easy to get to, and never a long wait—even during peak hours.

In a city full of dining options, Szechuan Restaurant Cityview is a standout. It’s authentic, flavorful, and run by people who clearly love what they do. Five stars all the way—I’ll be back again and again.

Not good I was switching up my panda express trying to find a good place and this is not it! I order take out got the sesame chicken and it’s like the chicken has been overcooked and mushy or sitting in a heat warmer or something rice dry the only thing that was good was the egg roll.

This was our first time eating here. We like the ambience, the staff was very nice. We were seated right away. We ordered tempura shrimp, It was tasty. I had the Kung Pao scallops, it was good however my complaint was that it was almost half of green and red peppers. Every Asian restaraunt has their version of a dish so I get it but this place had too many peppers in their Kung pao. My wife ordered shrimp with vegetables. It was very good. Se both ordered fried rice. The rice is well cooked. We liked it also. My wife is kinda picky so I was afraid she wouldn’t like it but she enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

Since moving to Texas I have ordered from other Chinese restaurants that I’ve ended up throwing straight in the trash after one bite and in 3 years I have not had a single good Chinese restaurant experience until now!! Great service, taste, quality, portions, price 10/10 – this will definitely be one of our top 3 restaurants
