I like the atmosphere it was clean, they had ample sitting room, the pizza was 3/5 stars in my mind, I like a saucy pizza, but to get their thin crust that offers a crunch maybe that’s not possible? I like that pricing comes with a soda and I really like that I was able to just take my plates when I was done up to a spot above the trash for them to get hauled away which allowed me to have a cleaner table. The dessert pizzas and sweet rolls were my favorite!

Revival at Pizza Inn.
It’s been years since a Pizza Inn Buffet was in DFW.
Just like 1968 the original crust is memorable.
This new restaurant is well located and very clean unlike many buffets.
The fresh made pizzas keep coming and they even honor your personal custom request.
The salad bar is a compliment to the pasta / spaghetti on the line .
Drinks are included and desserts too.
If you are in the Murphy Tx area and want a true pizza throwback experience, this is for you .

Location is a little awkward, but food is excellent and service is good. Buffet plus drink costs slightly more than Cici’s, but the quality is much higher here, from the salad bar to pizza toppings to desserts to real metal utensils. Unlike other Pizza Inn locations, drinks are self-service, so there is no table service, which suits me fine.

Once was enough. We had the buffet and I literally had nothing there I’d choose again. Everything tasted the same, bland and blah. Nothing was horrible, but you can do much better in Murphy (or even in the frozen section of the grocery store) and spend less. The place is clean and new, but that’s about the only thing positive I can really say.
When we arrived for dinner, there were a few pizzas languishing on the buffet, looking beyond its best “use by date” but I was hungry and I figured fresh pizza would show up. The first round was bad. Fresher pizza was marginally better, but it all wsa uniformly tasteless. Even the buffalo chicken pizza didn’t have any life. I give them 2 stars on food because of their crust, thin and crispy. The salad bar was the same as the pizza, visibly beyond ideal freshness and bland. I didn’t try the pasta bar.
I suppose this place would be good for families with young kids looking for a night out and bland food. Blandness appeals to kids I suppose but the cost is way up there considering the quality
All in all, I do not recommend this place especially at the price. I’ll get delivery or frozen before I go back.

Nice clean store with really friendly attentive staff. The buffet selection was varied, hot and fresh. The salad bar was really nice to see as well. The atmosphere was really nice with plenty of seating. It was clean and well maintained. The pizza was decent. The sauce has a slight tang that may not be to everyone’s liking, although you could probably request a pizza for the buffet with less sauce, the staff seem to be happy to accommodate. I’ll be happy to come back and bring the family.

Second time at this location. The first time, they ran out of iced tea and did not offer to make more. This time, several pizzas were cold (this was during lunch). The salad bar does not offer many choices, but I get that that is not why people go to pizza buffets. The buffet area is very small. To reach the pizzas at the back, you have to maneuver carefully. Mesquite and Sherman have never disappointed.

Awesome crust on all thin and regular pizza. Great quality and fresh. Everyone has been helpful and happy. A tad more $ than most buffets but I think it’s worth it. The food bar and sneeze guard make it a little difficult to reach all items on salad bar and pizzas close to back of bar.

Was really disappointed in this Pizza Inn that I was so looking forward to going to. Customer flow was awkward as the buffet is pretty much on top of the register area. So you have people trying to pay and people trying to get to the buffet line all in the same small area.
Buffet itself is very small…not many choices for the price they are charging. If you like THIN crust and barely warm pizza, this is your place! Some pieces were so thin, you could almost see through them. Salad bar was missing some items. I asked about tomatoes and croutons but was told they were out. This was early on a Thursday evening. Sadly we will not return for the price we paid and the lack of options available.
