This may be the best Italian Bread you can get in the world. You have to stop here when in the area.
If you like soft flavorless grocery store bread this is not for you.
This is bread with a crust, flavor and chew to it.

I grew up with this bread and still visit it any time I’m in town. The warm flat bread never makes it home without a segment or two removed. I haven’t had better Italian bread anywhere else (not in NYC, Boston or Italy). Highly recommend!

This place has always had the best bread around. That is until today. My wife picked up a loaf. Absolutely no taste, like they forgot the salt or some other ingredient. It did not come in the normal Columbus sleeve either. I tried to call and complain, but I received a message saying the number was no longer in service. Quite disappointing. At $5.00 a loaf it’ll be my last.

Great historic bakery since 1895. Great old world style Italian bread. Get the double baked for a truly good crunchy crust. We also bought the raw dough and made a great pizza at home.

The freshest, tasty Italian bread in Central New York. This family-owned and operated company uses the same ovens it’s founder instead decades ago, using the same original Italian bread recipes brought over from the old country. Loaves come in 3 types: long, round and flat. Flat loaves are per-scored for easy breaking-and-eating.
I’ve been buying Columbus Bakery breads for over 60 years. I’ve lived all over the country, but never found Italian bread anywhere that competes with Columbus Bakery’s quality, freshness and taste.

If you want Italian bread, this is the place. Just about the best I’ve had since leaving Italy. A small room with a huge oven and racks of bread. Nothing fancy but the lines will tell you how good it is. We are an hour away but if I can stop in the morning, the ride home is special. Warm bread fills the car with a lovely scent. Loaves were $5 and are lovely. Loaves and flats are awesome.

How is it that something is consistently amazing year after year decade after decade? It takes real dedication and a commitment to Service! Columbus Bakery is even better than I remembered it 45 years ago when I was a kid… I can’t drive through upstate New York without taking whatever detour necessary to get some bread. Thank you, Columbus bakery for the best of my childhood memories..

Best fresh baked bread ever. You’ll need to purchase 2 loaves. One loaf to take home and one loaf to eat in the car on the way home. It’s that good.
