Layla’s Falafel in Westport is one of those rare spots that delivers incredible freshness and consistency every single time. You can immediately tell it’s a family-owned business — everything tastes homemade, made with care, and full of flavor. The chicken kebabs are outstanding (in a bowl or on their own to repurpose at home), and the dips are perfection.
And I have to call out the fries here: they’re truly some of the best around. The portions are huge, so I’ll often throw the leftovers in the air fryer and enjoy them for multiple nights. Generous portions, warm service, and a wonderful family behind it all. Highly recommend supporting them!

Absolute gem. I visit ct from time to time and the food options usually suck. So glad to have come across laylas. Authentic as it gets. Super fresh and delicious. Portion size is surprisingly large. I ordered a little bit of everything and everything was amazing. The chicken was a little on the bland side but the garlic paste definitely made up for that! Friendly staff. What more can one ask for? Highly recommend. I’ll be looking forward to visit everytime I’m in ct.

This spot was recommended to me and exceeded all expectations. Staff and food were 10/10. Grew up eating middle eastern/ Mediterranean cuisine and I’ve had a lot of misses for this type of food around Norwalk and Danbury but this was incredible. Will be back

I didn’t expect to pay luxury steakhouse prices for a SHAWARMA.
$16 for a single shawarma sandwich? Really? At that point, I started wondering if it was made with golden chicken or imported from a royal palace.
The food might be decent, but let’s be honest — nothing on that menu justifies those prices. This is a casual sandwich, not fine dining wagyu.
I’m all for supporting local restaurants, but charging this much feels more like a joke than hospitality. If you’re going to price like a luxury restaurant, the experience, portion, and quality better match it — and they simply don’t.
Good food doesn’t mean good value. And this was definitely not good value.

First time stopping by, just in passing, and it turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had. The warmth and friendliness of the staff were truly refreshing. I tried the hummus, lentil soup, and chicken kabob bowl, everything was incredibly fresh, authentic, and tasted homemade. I’d easily give this place a 10/10 for food, service, and hospitality. Highly recommend!

Everything tasted heavenly! This is true quality food.
I would of taken pictures to post but I opened the grapeleaves 1st for a bite & it was game over
Layla’s won me over
It’s a beautiful little nook with great staff & music.

Layla Falafel is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! The food is beyond delicious—every bite is full of amazing flavor. The owner is incredibly kind, and the entire staff is so warm and welcoming. They let me try so many things, and their generosity truly made the experience unforgettable. You can feel the love and passion in everything they do. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This place is a must-visit. Highly, highly recommend!

Until my last falafel craving, I was only aware of the Stamford location. I stumbled upon the Westport location recently and I’m glad I did! Mohamed was such a pleasure to interact with. In fact, I felt like I was getting special treatment until the next customer came in and I saw the same outstanding customer service being applied. Any business owner would be fortunate to have an employee like Mohammed. He really goes above and beyond! Thanks again for all your good energy and bright light. You really stand out in your profession and people notice.

Awesome spot for authentic Mediterranean food. Lots of choices, all made from scratch. Their fluffy pitas are dangerously tasty. I got the shawarma plate and the chicken and meat were both succulent. Fair prices and clean place. You have to try their gluten free cookies too. There’s a reason people were lining up on a Tuesday. Can’t wait to be back!
