First visit & it was a great dinner. Service was excellent. Everyone was attentive, professional & very friendly. We were seated right away. I ordered an espresso martini and it was great. Our Seafood Linguini was amazing! Fresh & perfectly cooked. Definitely getting that again. Portions are generous & worth it. (One small tip would be to offer softened butter with the bread). But otherwise, definitely loved our meal & experience. We’ll be back soon. Thank you to the staff.

We finally made a visit to Midi after hearing a lot of positive feedback from friends and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and experience overall. The decor definitely gives off a French bistro vibe and the menu is packed with familiar francophone favorites. Oddly though, mussels were out, which accounted for a good portion of the menu, given that it’s their specialty. Many of our group went for steak frites and the consensus was positive with many suggesting that it was the best steak they had had in a while. I went for the Beef Bourguignon which I was expecting in the form of a stew, but it was more like a chunky soup. It was still tasty and enjoyable. The deserts were excellent, from a somewhat short menu, with the tart tatin being particularly delicious. Definitely worth a visit and we are highly likely to come back.

I came here for breakfast and really enjoyed the experience overall. The crepes were very tasty, light, flavorful, and perfectly done. The salmon Benedict was also excellent, rich and well-balanced. The steak Benedict was decent, though the steak could have been a bit better quality. Still, everything was nicely presented and the meal was satisfying. I’d definitely come back again for the crepes and salmon Benedict!

We enjoyed our meal at Midi. It was our first visit and it won’t be our last. The service was excellent, all of the staff were very attentive. We had heard the food was good, but the flavours and textures were beyond our expectations.

We had such a wonderful experience here! Even though the restaurant was about to close, they kindly welcomed us in because we were hungry and had a baby with us – such thoughtfulness is rare. The food was delicious, the service warm and friendly, and the atmosphere very cozy. We especially loved the little wine-themed drawings on the walls – funny and charming! Highly recommend.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for a night out. Service was attentive and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We eat at Midi about once a month, usually for dinner but have had breakfast multiple times as well. The food is always great. We often are a group of 8 and everyone raves about their meals. The fresh bread to start is great, appetizers are always good and meals are excellent. Highlights for us are mushroom risotto, all of the pastas, the beef stew and the fish dishes. Their specials are always great too. Atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. We do usually have to ask for the bill at the end, just as we do in restaurants in Europe. They definitely try to let you enjoy and not rush. Service is always great. Highly recommend. We are lucky to have Midi in Cobourg.
